8 years of Mimosas & Lipstick

So many seasons of life, love, highs & lows, and through it all this corner of the internet has been a constant. I cannot thank you all enough, whether you’ve been here for one day or since I first started talking to a camera 8 years ago.

There are so many things this page and community have taught me - but I think the most important is that you really CAN be that girl.

You CAN be the girl who tries new things

You CAN be the girl who dares to achieve her dreams

You CAN be the girl who turns heartache into new opportunities

You CAN be the girl who makes a difference in your community

You CAN be whoever you want to be.

I started this page because I felt like there weren’t enough people like me on the internet. I felt underrepresented and I felt like I had something to say. And I went into this thinking that if I could make one person’s life better, then I will have achieved what I set out to do.

Little did I know, that I’d meet and connect with all of you. And through all the up’s and down’s - you’d make MY life infinitely better.

So here’s to another year of figuring it out as we go, trying our best to be the best we can be, and remembering that what we have to say matters too.

Vlogmas Day 3 and we’re on the upswing besties! 🫶🏼✨

I kind of brushed over hawks because I couldn’t make yall see me cry for a third day in a row during Vlogmas but they’ve always held a deep spiritual significance in indigenous cultures and are often strongly associated with your ancestors or spirit guides. My dad’s mom always said that her father came to her as a hawk and so over the years I’ve come to see that hawks are one of my connections to my dad.

We all have different ways of dealing with grief and different ways we come to terms with it - for me there’s a lot of little things that happen throughout the day that remind me of different people that I love and if you’re someone who is in a season of struggling with loss I recommend slowing down and letting your signs find out because they really do help so much. 🤍
