When I look down, it’s my reminder to keep my head up 💪

I signed up for my first 5K just 8 weeks ago — with zero running experience and honestly, I’ve always hated running. But this year has tested me in so many ways, and I needed something that made me feel tougher when so much felt out of my control.

That’s where running came in 🏃‍♀️
I’ve been training with the Runna app and tracking on Strava, and I’m actually feeling really good heading into race day this Sunday! 🙌

And these sneakers?! 🩷
They’re from ASICS and feel like walking on clouds ☁️ — 8 weeks, no shin splints, and I’m convinced these are the reason why.

🌮 Taco ’bout a send-off to remember! 🎉
We threw my parents the ultimate “Taco ’Bout Retirement” fiesta — complete with mariachis, a taco bar from a local restaurant, fresh flowers, stretchy table covers, colorful ribbons, sarapes, and plenty of laughter under the lights.

We rented a margarita machine 🍹, set up a photo area 📸, and used our karaoke machine as a PA system — it worked perfectly for speeches and singing the night away! 🎤
Even made homemade churros for a sweet ending. 💛

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night celebrating their hard work, love, and new adventures ahead.
