Never thought I’d be making a binder with dividers for doctor notes, lab results, treatments, medications, scans, surgeries, symptoms, and medical records at just 33 years old… but here we are. 😂 After months of appointments and still feeling like no one can put all the puzzle pieces together, I’ve officially decided I’m becoming that patient. You know, the one who walks into every appointment carrying a giant medical binder, receipts in hand, ready to advocate for herself and get some ANSWERS. 😂👏🏻 Because if navigating chronic illness has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes you have to become your own medical historian and your own biggest advocate. There is a little bit of good news though! 🙌🏻 I was able to get an appointment with Duke’s Electrophysiology Clinic to hopefully get more help with my inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST) and figure out a better treatment plan. The downside? My appointment isn’t until October 30th. 🙃 So once again… we wait. I’m really hoping that by the end of this year, I’ll finally have more answers, a treatment plan that actually helps, and a clear path forward. 🤞🏻 Until then, catch me organizing my medical records like they’re a high school research project. 😂📑 Anyone else with chronic illness have a giant medical binder too?! Because I have a feeling I’m definitely not the only one. 👇🏻 LTKdayinmylife LTKstorytime LTKselfcare
