After the wedding, even though it was truly the most perfect, God-blessed day I could have ever imagined, I found myself in a really strange place.

My body felt off, my routine felt nonexistent, and my nervous system was completely worn out from months of planning, emotions, and everything in between.

I didn’t expect that part.

I almost wish we had taken our honeymoon right away; or at least sooner, just to give myself that space to come down from it all.

But at the same time, I’m so grateful we still had this trip to look forward to, because it ended up being exactly what I needed.

Slow mornings. Sunshine. Time by the water. Being still. Getting back in the Word. Breathing again.

This trip didn’t just feel like a vacation, it felt like a reset. Like coming back to myself.

And now I finally feel ready to step into this next season with a clear mind, a full heart, and the kind of peace I didn’t even realize I was missing. ✨

Every choice was made with intention. 🤍

Instead of buying everything new, I chose to borrow, repurpose, and create. Many of the frames you see have lived in my family for generations. The centerpieces were designed by me, then lovingly brought to life with the help of my grandmother and sisters.

Pearls have been woven into the women of my family since the 1920s, and the pearls you see throughout the details and the ones I wore were passed down from my great grandmother. A quiet heirloom. A legacy of elegance.

Even the modern touches, like the table numbers and chargers, were chosen carefully to complement the vintage gold tones and keep everything cohesive, classic, and timeless.

The entire vision was meant to feel elegant and enduring. An ode to family, history, and the ocean I love, woven in gently and intentionally, never loud, always meaningful. 🌊✨

And from my real floral bouquet to the faux florals throughout the space, every bloom worked together to tie it all up in the perfect wedding bow. 🎀🤍

Lately, my time in the Word has felt more like a checklist than true devotion. Watching church when it’s convenient, doing quick devotionals — not out of hunger, but out of habit.

But this morning in 2 Kings 12 & 13, God gently convicted and comforted me:

✨ True worship begins with restoring what’s been broken.
✨ His grace doesn’t depend on our performance — it flows from His unchanging character.

As someone who creates content for a living, I’ve felt burned out. Like I’ve been pouring out creatively but not always from a place of overflow. Today reminded me that the gifts God’s given me — including creativity — aren’t just for clients or campaigns. They’re for Him, too.

Here’s to slowing down, showing up with honesty, and creating from a place of worship again. 🤍
