Biggest downfall about our home is the lack of space for a dining area ☹️ — and honestly, it’s something I should’ve made a priority when house shopping. But truthfully, it seems like homes are getting smaller and somehow still cost double the price 🤯. Contractors seem to think that just having a kitchen island is sufficient enough for family mealtime (don’t even get me started — I could rant about this for days 😅). However, with a little modification and inspiration from my favorite romcom movies 🎬💕, I’ve made the most of our open floor plan by creating a tiny dining space in our small living room. Nearly every night, we pull up River’s high chair to this little table, say our prayers to the Lord 🙏🏼, enjoy a home-cooked meal 🍲, and laugh and talk as a family. Having a tiny table hasn’t stopped us from having family dinners — and it certainly hasn’t stopped me from making small tablescapes 🕯️✨. And yes, we really do eat like this — candles lit and all! 🤎🍂🤍 Because dinner is meant to be a cozy, special time for family — even on an ordinary Tuesday 🤍 // Linked everything I could on my @shop.ltk @ltk.home home homedecor fall falldecor tablescape LTKHome LTKSeasonal
