I have been craving this comfort food from my childhood for a while. This recipe is inexpensive, easily modified for diet preferences, one pan & quick to throw together! I made mine organic & gluten free. 1 lb ground beef (turkey or chicken) 1 onion chopped 1 bell pepper chopped Worcestershire sauce to taste 1/2 tsp garlic powder S&P to taste 1.5 C chicken broth 15oz can diced tomatoes 15oz can tomato sauce 1 bay leaf 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1C uncooked elbow pasta (I used GF chickpea pasta) Add 1tbsp olive oil to pan on medium heat. Add ground beef & onions to pan. Add garlic powder, Worcestershire, S&P. Brown. Add tomatoes & sauce, bay leaf, bell pepper, & Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil then simmer 10 minutes. Add pasta & simmer 12-14 minutes, stirring often. Goes great with sourdough buttered bread!
