Here’s another look at one of my favorite shirts. I can’t believe how much wear I’ve gotten out of it! You can wear tied in the front or back, in a bow or a knot, and it comes in so many colors. The higher crewneck makes a great backdrop for a statement necklace. I just paired it with an older pair of kick flare jeans and some ballet flats to finish off the look

Loved an excuse to head up to Dallas, dress in pink and celebrate my dear friend @hkcung and the impending arrival of her baby girl #2! I drove up in this outfit because I wasn’t sure if I’d have time to check into the hotel before the party, so let me assure you that this dress is extremely travel friendly (and it has pockets)! Runs true to size, comes in other colors and can easily be dressed up by adding a jacket, blazer, and some gold heeled sandals. BONUS-it’s on sale for $69 today!

This look works in the car, on the plane, and then out and about wherever you end up. The sweater vest is soft and comes in lots of colors. It is bra friendly but I had fun coordinating my bra to my top. The jeans are SO soft-but they run really big so size down TWO sizes! The shoes have completely disappeared off Target’s website so I linked some similar options. They’re called the A New Day Cassidee mary janes if you want to try looking for them later

Sharing a workwear outfit idea! I love a vertical stripe button up blouse for casual
days with jeans but especially for an easy work day outfit. Paired it with these twill cropped pants from Spanx. They give you some shape and gently hold you in BUT are still comfortable to wear all day. Love that these finally have pockets! Went with some navy suede kitten heels to finish the look and an easy neutral bag that holds a surprising amount of stuff!

Had the best weekend in Houston! I got to spend time with two of my favorite people, my older son and his fiancée! We had an amazing brunch at @vivamaximohouston and then wandered around the Museum of Health. This outfit worked well all day, even for getting on the floor and playing with their sweet dogs! The pants might be sold out in brown but honestly, I would recommend getting every color! They come in two inseam lengths (I’m wearing the 28 inseam) and are wrinkle resistant. The top is my version of a Houston “fall” top-autumnal colors and no sleeves. This does come in other color combos as well. I’m also loving this little bangle bracelet set. They’re hinged so really easy to get on and off, and they’re lightweight and they don’t clank together noisily, which is a plus!

If you’re thinking about pairing certain colors that work well to transition into fall, navy and olive green make a great combo! This sleeveless v-neck top also comes in quite a few other shades and the pants do as well. Both run true to size. The pants have some nice softness and stretch to them so they’re easy to wear all day long. Wearing both pieces in size XS for reference. The sneakers run big-size down ½ size!

Summer might not be officially over until September 21, but we just marked another unofficial end this weekend. We went to the last home game of the season for of our AA minor league baseball team. The best part, other than the team winning, is that the temps dropped into the low 70’s, which is absolutely fall weather for San Antonio!

I’m wearing a new Henley shirt-it’s made of the softest fabric and it has feminine details like subtle lacey trim at the neckline. It’s supposed to be a tight fit so I sized up one from my regular size to get a looser fit. Isn’t it the prettiest color for fall? Use code MARNIE15 to save 15% on it! Don’t be afraid to mix up textures and styles for an easy casual look. I took a sweater tee and paired it with pull on trousers for a more elevated athleisure look for errands yesterday. I tied in the texture of the sweater with the knit texture on the sneakers (not that anyone noticed but I thought it was a nice subtle touch). Movie date outfit must be comfortable (who else loves those reclining seats in theaters now?!) and the must have accessory is a cashmere throw. It’s definitely a step up from dragging in a blanket from home! I don’t know why movie theaters are cold enough to hang meat, but at least I’m prepared for it!

This might not be what comes to mind when you’re considering a work from home outfit, but it’s so comfortable. The knit top is a longer, looser fit and the linen blend pants are a pull on style. I just grabbed some slip on shoes and my current go to crossbody to make a run to the grocery store and felt great. WFH doesn’t have to mean loungewear and sweatpants but can be just as comfortable!

On Wednesday’s we wear pink…or any other day we feel like it! Loving this printed, patterned shirt dress with contrasting trim around the collar, down the placket and the matching belt. Great piece to transition into fall, especially if you choose one of the other color ways this comes in. I decided to play up the pink in the dress with my purse and sunglasses, but you could also go with the greens or oranges to give it more of an early fall vibe.

Who else is feeling the fall vibes but it’s still in the 90’s outside? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Time to bring in knit textures and fall tones but keep everything short sleeved and lightweight! I pulled out this old favorite-a loose knit, short sleeve sweater dress. It’s not so loose that you can see through it, but you won’t get overheated. I added some new Mary Janes for a pop of color-it also helps that they have great padded insoles. I can’t stop reaching for this crossbody bag, although I am on the hunt for some new fall bags. I’ll share when I find some!

Thinking ahead to REAL fall-I would add suede boots and a bomber jacket for a totally different look!

Let’s bring in the autumnal tones while acknowledging it’s STILL technically summer and HOT! This “beach” sweater is a great closet basic to wear on its own now and layered under a blazer or cardigan later. I also grabbed it in a beautiful green. Wearing it in size XS. The pants I have shared numerous times-they’re modal, come in multiple inseam lengths and are SO comfortable. They’re also easy to dress up or down. I even snagged new sneakers in a fall color. If you’re not recovering from a calf muscle tear, a pair of suede loafers or sandals would look great with this!

This is a great travel outfit and everyday kind of running around outfit, but it’s also great to wear to a doctor’s appointment. Easy on and off, still feel put together but comfortable and easy access to arms if they need to do blood work or take your blood pressure. Doesn’t @Nordstrom have the best lighting in their dressing rooms?! Went over there recently to try on some of the premium denim that’s in the Anniversary Sale so I know how it fits and what to recommend to you. I’m actually wearing jeans I bought last year from the N Sale. This blouse is a standout-and it’s from Amazon. Wearing a size small in the top, size 26 (TTS) in the jeans and the shoes run true to size.

I have three very different outfits here and I love them all! The first one is a typical everyday outfit-casual but put together. I love the detail on the top with the extra piece under the arm for more coverage. The pants are a linen blend that are so flattering on! If you’re more of a loungewear girl or looking for a very casual travel outfit, the scuba knit pieces are so lightweight and cool to the touch, and I can’t stop wearing the Ugg classic micros! They’re my go to house shoe! Finally, if you want to get dressed up and go somewhere nice, these knit separates are gorgeous! The fringe hem is actually loops of fabric and they’re so fun!

We clean up pretty well, I think!! This dress works for so many dressy occassions-so much so that I bought it twice (silver and navy). I wore the navy to a wedding this month and it was perfect. You will need a strapless bra with this one-I'll link the one I love. These clear strap heels go with everything AND they're comfortable. They're pretty much the only heels you'll need (true to size). I'm wearing the dress in a size 2.
