#walmartpartner Our Weimaraner, Rowdy, recently had some benign growths removed and we were told we have to keep him inside and fairly calm until the stitches are removed. Before we even picked him up from the vet, I placed an order with Walmart+ and had a bunch of new toys and treats from @walmart delivered to the house to entertain him, because the last thing you want is a bored Weimaraner! If you’ve ever wondered why my tag line is “Real Outfits for Real Women”, it’s because of outfits like this one. I want to share what “normal” women are wearing in everyday situations, in this case, running out the door to get a pedicure because I suddenly found a window of free time to get it done. I have to say a sports/tennis skirt is the way to go because the built in shorts offer modesty and coverage on the pedicure chair! I sized up one on the top because it’s meant to be really tight and I wanted a looser fit. Wearing my regular size in the skirt. Our last day staying at the Inn at Biltmore Estate was a packed one and the best day ever!! We started off with their Sunday brunch which had some of the best brunch offerings I’ve ever seen (French toast made out of cinnamon rolls, mini cronuts, hash brown casserole & so much more), then we drove around the estate looking for the sheep and the Great Pyrenees that guards them, then we headed out for an Asheville Tourists baseball game at their historic ballpark (Single A Minor League), got ice cream in downtown Asheville, headed back to the estate to walk it off and found a tire swing, sat on Adirondack chairs and gazed at the mountains, then capped it off with dinner on the terrace with the best sliders I’ve ever had in my life (I gave the fries with truffle aoli to Michael). It was honestly the BEST day and one I will revisit in my memories often!

Notes about the outfit-the shirt is a must have. It runs TTS but the key here is it DOES NOT WRINKLE. It came out of the suitcase like this! A full day on the Biltmore Estate…what was supposed to be just lunch at The Creamery turned into an impromptu decision to tour the Chihuly exhibit and check out the grounds of the Biltmore House. Words don’t do any of it justice!

If I had known we were going to do a whole walking tour I would have worn my white sneakers and not heeled booties but it worked out ok. Travel day and first day in Asheville is in the books. We were up at 4 am to catch an early flight into town & then spent most of the day waiting for our room, so it was all about a versatile travel outfit I could wear to walk around the hotel and grounds, lunch and a casual dinner. We were SO tired!! We’re staying at the Inn at the Biltmore and it’s the most elegant hotel I’ve ever seen. We drove around the grounds of Biltmore (which is so stunning I forgot to take pictures), spent time in the Village, met up with the bride and groom, had dinner in the hotel’s Library Lounge and called it an early night so we will be well rested for a full day of touring and wedding celebrations the next day! As I was washing my face I realized the rose in a vase on the bathroom vanity is real and smells divine! All the little touches here take it to the next level!

I’ve had this dress since March and I’ve been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it-and it was perfect for Mother’s Day brunch! It has an a-line shape so it’s not too clingy (roomy enough to fully enjoy a buffet brunch). Paired it with my favorite pumps and a lightweight cardigan because holy air conditioning!

Most people think of layering for colder weather, but here in San Antonio I need layers once all the stores, restaurants and office buildings start cranking up the AC and the outside temps hit 90°.
