For years I thought a calm home meant white walls, white bedding, white nightstands… and suddenly my whole apartment started feeling like unseasoned chicken.

So I’m experimenting with color in my NYC apartment slowly, thoughtfully, and a little nervously. The rug pulled more blue than I expected, the DIY nightstand test is giving “trust the process,” and I’m realizing adding warmth (tan, brown, dusty rose) feels more like me.
