Can’t help but celebrate a big milestone: I’ve lost over 65 lbs since my second son was born two years ago.

I’m proud of this journey not because of the pounds lost but because of the confidence gained. I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. And to someone who’s had a much harder time postpartum mentally, that’s saying a lot.

For anyone struggling with postpartum be patient with yourself. The body needs time and space to heal. And I’m convinced I’m just one of those people who cannot lose weight while breastfeeding (anyone else struggle with this?)

Can’t believe I finally fit into these jeans after 5 years!

My dear most perfect pair of jeans, it has been almost 5 years we’ve been apart and yet it feels like a lifetime…

But for real, I’m proud of this win. Most especially because @agolde doesn’t even make these jeans anymore (some people can’t handle perfection) 😝 I remember this time last year accepting I’d never fit into these jeans again. And I was okay with that. So fitting into them again feels more like an emotional win than a physical win. Like I am still a mom but also am recovering some of those old pieces of myself pre-mom? Like a beautiful messy mixture of all that I am and all that I was.

God, I missed these jeans…
