The Brick is a phone access blocker that limits screen time for certain apps, and it’s truthfully one of the best things I bought last year. You can choose which apps you want to block, and when you tap your phone on the Brick, it automatically blocks them. In order to unblock, you need to manually tap your phone against the Brick again. And best of all? You can store the Brick as far away from your phone as you need so that you have to physically get up to unblock it, creating way more of a barrier than the easy-to-ignore “you’ve reached your limit” screen time alerts that pop up on your phone. It’s been without a doubt the best screen time deterrent that I’ve tried. Whether you’re trying to be more intentional about phone/app use not interfering with your focus time, family time, sleep time, or all of the above, I really can’t recommend this enough.
