This little bucket hack can help stop mosquitoes before they even hatch.

Mosquitoes were making our backyard miserable at night, so last year I finally tried the mosquito dunk bucket hack- it worked so good I made three more this year!

I used a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, drilled several holes in the top to help keep kids and pets out, then added water, yard clippings, and a mosquito dunk. Mosquitoes are drawn to the bucket to lay eggs, but the larvae never survive. It’s inexpensive, easy to maintain, and honestly one of the best backyard hacks. I soray painted my lid with a plastic primer them a green color I had on hand to make it blend in with my yard.

I gave my outdoor table and chair set a refresh with paint. It looks like a completely new set now and has a softer European cottage feel that I am wanting .

Steps:
1. Clean the furniture - I just used a garden hose for mine- but you may need to do a little scrubbing depending on how dirty it is
2. I lightly sanded any chipping areas with 220 grit sandpaper.
3. I sprayed 2 light coats letting each coat dry completely. Then touched up any areas that may have needed any extra.*

* the spray paint I used is a paint and primer in one.

***my outdoor wrought iron table and chairs is from 2008
