Is it too hot to keep up real flowers where you live? It sure is here in Texas! 🥵☀️🔥 Plus I’m terrible at remembering to water my potted plants. 🙈 So here’s how I create my large outdoor planter arrangements with maintenance-free faux flowers and plants!

1) Use another smaller pot (like i did) or use other filler to take up space inside the pot.
2) I then added this planter insert (available at Walmart, Lowe’s, or Home Depot) to create a level surface.
3) Add plant foam bricks (I got mine at Michael’s) across the flat surface.
4) Place faux plants into the foam to secure them in place.
5) I used 4 floral bushes and 4-6 greenery bushes in each large planter.
5) That’s it! I usually just gently hose off my faux plants each season to clean dirt and dust.

I’m so thankful that @walmart just came out with a ton of absolutely stunning summer fashion online! Everything is so chic and sophisticated, while still being super affordable! For touring around Italy, Spain, Greece & France, my goal was to stick to a classic but simple color palette of neutrals, like black, white, and beige to always look chic while also making mixing and matching easy (being gone for 3 weeks presents a packing challenge!) Chicken Corn Chowder Recipe
(I usually double recipe)

2 slices bacon, diced
½ pound potatoes, unpeeled and diced (we used red potatoes)
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken-breast halves, cut into 1-inch chunks
3 green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
1 chicken-flavor bouillon envelope
2 cups milk
1 15 to 17 ounce can cream-style corn

1. In 3-quart casserole, cook bacon, covered, on high 2½ to 3 minutes until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon; set aside.
2. Add potatoes to drippings. Cook, covered, on high 6 to 7 minutes until tender, stirring once halfway through cooking. Add chicken and green onions. Cook, covered, 3 to 4 minutes until chicken is no longer pink, stirring once.
3. Sprinkle flour over chicken; stir to blend. Add bouillon, milk, and corn. Cook, covered, on high 8 to 10 minutes until mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste. Can be served with crumbled bacon on top.

The washable rugs from My Texas House at Walmart can be washed by a power washer, a simple hose, or if outdoor washing isn’t an option then a carpet shampooer also works! Comment “washable” to receive the links to the pressure washer I used, and a list of some of the most popular MTH washable rugs!

All you need is water when power washing but you can add a couple drops of Dial soap for grease stains. I also recommend Folex cleaner to spot clean tough stains. To dry, just lay rug flat and depending on the weather conditions it can take a few days to dry. The washable MTH rugs can even be bleached if necessary!
