I was already a huge fan of the technique but especially when going from holiday mode to “what exactly do I do here?”. Gives you a chance to reacquaint yourself with each of the areas your work touches. It’s a great way to kick off the day, week, month, or year!

In the most recent Stories Q&A someone asked for recommendations for clothes for the heat. 🥵

I’ve struggled with answering this question because days on end of 90+ just feels like a “here’s the best we can do” situation. But. Two quick tips to consider…

1️⃣ Look for clothes that barely touch your body. The tiered dress concept is nice for that! And this one, that I bought in two colors, is currently 40% off! Added bonus it’s got two very thin layers so you stay cool while also not revealing all your secrets (even if one of the secrets is that you’ve sweated down the inner layer).

2️⃣ There is no way (for me) to not sweat in Houston in the summer. So I like synthetic blend fabrics because they are generally lightweight and dry quickly.

IRL, apparently I was supposed to get my mom this dress as well. I wore it while we were together this week and was complimented no less than five times on it. Now I’m in even more trouble. So prepare yourself to here a jillion compliments. And maybe buy one for your mom too?

Walked miles upon miles these last few days and can’t recommend enough a good thick-soled shoe - sneaker, platform sandal, or wedge - for navigating the cobblestone streets in style and comfort!

I had wedges to wear with these jeans but switched them out for sneakers. Cheater cuffed the back of the pant to make it workable for the day! Imperfect but 10 miles of walking meant I was just fine with it. 🙌🏻
