Reminder - you don’t need expensive decor to make your coffee table feel styled

I styled my long rectangle coffee table with this simple setup, but it works on any shape 👇

think in sections, not shape
• rectangle table: break it into a few zones along the length and spread pieces out (I use mostly books bc I love the look of coffee table books)
• square table: use 4 small groupings or 1 center + 2 accents
• round table: keep everything centered, stack and layer instead of spreading

my go to formula:
single book + stacked books + height (vase, stems, or candle) + a lamp

it’s less about the table, more about balance and spacing!

Our bedroom is SMALL. And I kept thinking we needed more space .. turns out we just needed to use it better

A couple things that made the biggest difference:

• Dressers as nightstands — this gave us way more storage. I keep some of my clothes, my son’s things, books, and personal care all in my dresser. My partner uses his to store clothes

• Movable TV stand (no bulky console)
We skipped a traditional TV stand completely. This one moves where we need it, saves space, and keeps the room from feeling crowded

• Large basket for toys — makes it easy to toss everything in and keeps the room from feeling like a playroom

Using two dressers as nightstands also opened up more space around the bed for walking and for my son to run around. We kept the walls simple and bare for the most part so the space feels a lot more open

Anything else just goes in the closet!

I used to wake up already feeling behind. Thinking about laundry, texts I hadn’t answered, everything I needed to get done before nap time. And it made our mornings feel rushed before they even started

Lately I’ve been trying something different. I… slow down, shifted my perspective, and focused solely on what was most important - my son. I let us be home for a bit. Reading a few books before getting out of bed, a slow breakfast, etc. It’s not perfect and the house definitely isn’t spotless. But it feels calmer this way. And that’s been really good for both of us

Simple things I do at home that make mom life easier 🤍

• Let go of perfectionism — Our home is meant to be lived in. Clean enough, safe, and functional is enough in this season

• Lay out my son’s clothes, diaper, and wipes the night before — mornings feel 10x smoother when I’m not scrambling. Everything we need is next to our bed when we wake up, and we can ease into the day instead of rushing

• Make lots of crockpot meals — dinner cooks while we live our day. It removes the 5pm stress and keeps me from defaulting to takeout when I’m tired

• Keep baskets around for quick toy pick-ups — tossing toys into a basket in 2 minutes instantly makes the space feel reset

• Set up my tea kettle and mug the night before — it sounds small, but having it ready makes the morning feel intentional

None of these are big life hacks. They just remove tiny points of friction and that changes everything!

If I could give one simple tip for making your home feel cozier without buying anything new, it would be this. Turn off the overhead lights. Layer your lamps (this is something I’m still working on!). It’s such a small shift but it changes everything

2. Toddler tower (helps my son feel involved + our go-to for lunch instead of the high chair)
3. Stainless steel, nontoxic rice cooker (can also steam foods in a separate pot above the rice)
4. Family digital calendar (shared schedule, to-do lists, groceries + weekly meals — no subscription)
5. Convertible 4-in-1 tricycle (our stroller alternative that grows with him)

Little things, but they’ve made a big difference in this season of motherhood and a few things I’m loving ✨

For early walkers, you want something:
• Wide (so their toes can spread naturally)
• Flexible (so their foot can move the way it’s meant to)
• Lightweight (so they’re not stomping around in heavy, stiff soles)

Toddlers’ feet are still forming, and restrictive shoes can actually interfere with balance and muscle development. I looked for something that feels almost like being barefoot — just with protection for outside adventures

I only recommend the bottom two shoes for those looking for a lightweight shoe and one that can be put on super easily. They’re not super flexible

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be over the top to feel special! I kept this setup simple, affordable, and functional for our space (considering it’s in our kitchen) using mostly pieces I already have and love (yes, the over-the-table arch again!). It’s one of those decor items I reuse for so many occasions, just styled a little differently each time

Here’s what I used:
— over-the-table arch
— cheesecloth (to cover the arch)
— matte + shiny heart-shaped balloons (the only thing I purchased)
— green accent ribbon (that I already had)

I kept asking my partner, “is this too minimal?” But I realized… minimal is me. Minimal is just my style. I wanted Valentine’s Day to feel special for my little one without the stress, clutter, or extra spending. Sometimes less really is more and this kind of setup lets you enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the setup 💌✨
