Pull the bun apart and begin loosely pinning to create the look you want. Lightly mist a texture spray throughout the bun for extra volume and hold. Hair Pin Serpent Bun 🐍

Gather your hair into a ponytail.

Place one hand on top of the ponytail.

Wrap the ponytail around your index, middle, and ring fingers.

Twist your hand clockwise, pulling it up and above the base of the ponytail as you complete a full rotation.

Carefully slide your fingers out of the loop while keeping the space open. Push the base of the ponytail through the loop as you pull it down.

Secure the bun by hooking a section of hair with a serpent pin near the outer edge, then flip it over and glide it along your scalp to anchor it in place.

Twist, tuck, and ssslay, baby! This bun is going to be on heavy rotation this fall.

Claw Clip Bun Tutorial

Here’s a fun bun using a three-prong claw clip!

Gather your hair into a low ponytail.

With your other hand, open the claw clip as wide as possible.

Place the claw clip on top of your ponytail.

Wrap the ponytail over the claw clip, then place it inside the open teeth while twisting the clip toward your scalp.

Squeeze to secure.

Grab the remaining tail with your other hand, open the claw clip, and place the ponytail inside.

Continue wrapping the ponytail around to the other side, then open the claw clip once more and tuck the ends inside and under the bun.

Start with your hair in a high ponytail, secured with a hair tie.

Split the ponytail into two sections and fan the hair out over the hair tie.

Place a stretchy hair tie over the fanned-out sections, securing them in place.

Take a small section of hair, twist it a couple of times, and tuck it into the stretchy hair tie.

Repeat this step, working your way around the bun until all your hair is tucked in.

Gently adjust and fluff the bun to achieve your desired messy look.

Play around with the shape until it’s perfectly imperfect!
