On the final wrap, open the hair tie wide and insert your hand through the opening. Drive your hand down under the ponytail through the hair tie so that it’s now wrapped around your wrist. Pull your hand and hair tie back to create space for your hand to go up through the opening in between your thumb and the hair tie. Once your hand is through the opening, wrap your hand around the base of the ponytail.
