There’s so much that contributes to a good supply- feeding on demand, seeing a lactation consultant during those times you need a little extra help, staying HYDRATED (the biggest one and one that’s hard for me some days), and eating a LOT of nutrient-dense whole foods. The breastfeeding hunger is SO REAL! lol it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! I’ve never been so hungry in my life! Lately I’ve been using @oatmama products to help me stay hydrated and nourished, and fill in gaps to help keep my supply strong. Protein powder and oat bars help keep me full, especially on days when I’m too busy to eat lunch (it happens lol) or need a one-handed snack, and I know I’m still eating something good for me and Theo! It gives me more peace of mind as Theo starts to shift to more solid foods that I can still give him the milk he needs and help us both get to a year of breastfeeding (and beyond).
