It’s our last week of school and I am so looking forward to summer break! We have a trip planned in July and it will be so nice to get out of this desert heat. Heat intolerance is one of the biggest things I struggle with, with my MS.

Fall vibes in the entryway! I really love how this space turned out. The Lila linen blend curtain in brown from @luxdrape_official was exactly what I had envisioned for this space. It’s such a beautiful fabric and stripes are one of my favorite patterns.

In a few short weeks it will all be taken down and I look forward to adding them to our new place.

It’s starting to cool down a bit here which has been great with all of Amelia’s soccer games. I’ve been decluttering every room in the house donating and selling things for our upcoming move. The girls have one week of school before Fall break starts which is just so crazy to me. It seems like school just started. Today i plan on taking it easy, the busy days have caught up with me and I need a break! I haven’t decorated or changed much around here since it will all be packed up in a couple of weeks.

A good stripe can make anything look good and I think these striped curtains from @luxdrape_official were meant for our entryway. Originally I had stripes envisioned for this space and I think the warm brown tones works so well here.

The weeks have been flying by since school started and schedules have been crazy with my oldest in her second year of college, a sophomore in high school and a 5th grader. Amelia has decided to join student council, soccer and folk dancing! Oh how I wish I had her energy!

A little sprinkle of Fall and I am happy to report, I have not purchased any new Fall decor this year (other than a few @coppercandleco candles) and don’t plan on it. I’m keeping it light and simple too. I think this is a good start!
Fall is my favorite season but since moving to the desert three years ago, it just doesn’t feel the same. I miss real Fall weather and watching the leaves turn. I miss real pumpkin patches and all of the cute Fall outfits!

The kids went back to school and I’ve been tired. Trying to get used to the early mornings and routine again after summer is difficult and the 100 degree days certainly do not help.

I am looking forward to closing the curtains early tonight and hopefully sleeping in this weekend.

So in love with this wallpaper from @lovevsdesign and the character it has added to our living space. It was so easy to apply too! @lovevsdesign has 100s of designs and colors to choose from. I chose the wavy blossom wallpaper for its classic design in the colors shell and mousse. I’ve used both their peel and stick and glissade wallpapers and I think the glissade is great if you’re a beginner or applying wallpaper on your own.

I’m back from our trip to Colorado and Dr. appointments. We had such a fun time hanging out, doing our favorite things, eating our favorite foods and hanging out with our favorite people. My appointment went well, slight changes but my Dr. doesn’t think that most of what I’ve been dealing with is related to my MS.

It’s been hard getting back to my usual routine since being back so I decided to ignore it all and work on the entryway some more. The gallery wall is finished and I have lots to put away and organize in the new sideboard. When you have a small home, organization and having plenty of storage matters.

How to decorate your coffee table….
However you damn well please! I absolutely love the inspiration and seeing everyone’s creative side on here! What I don’t love is when someone feels the urge to share their opinion on how something should or shouldn’t be done. What’s in or out of style and that seems to be the trend these days, at least on my feed. I love and appreciate all decor and styles not just styles similar to mine. While I’ve always decorated with neutrals, I used to love greens especially olive green but that has changed over time and I find myself leaning more towards purples. I do believe it is because I see colors differently now due to symptoms of MS. I do hope you love the way I’ve decorated my coffee table for summer and if you don’t, that’s okay too! I do hope you find more joy and appreciation for the different styles, creative ideas and hard work people share here.

It was a great first weekend of summer! Parties, games night, puppy school and decorating kept us busy. I snapped a few photos of our living room in the evening after cleaning up last night and I love the soft glow from the lamps. I found a few things from Target last weekend and did not realize they were part of the Fall collection until everyone started posting about it. These are pieces that can and will be used year round around here. I love the brass tray and the boxes keep the clutter hidden. I also added that beautiful jacquard blanket to my ladder. It’s the last day of school! I set a simple table for tonight’s dinner. Our table has so many uses especially during the summer. Since our home is small and we don’t have an office or den, this table is also where we do homework, play games and craft. It most likely won’t be set again until after summer.
