Check them out: @cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser (I wasn’t able to buy this in my city but I’ve been on the hunt for this product since I first saw it on social. My skin as of late has been having some eczema flare ups and it says it’s great for atopic prone skin. 🤞🏾

✨ @larocheposayusa Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid Fragrance-Free SPF50+ 50ml (I don’t think you can get the 400 version in North America) - I’ve used it and will continue to use it. Love that the filter as extra protection
✨A313 - This is a a retinyl ester - it’s supposed to be gentler (we’ll see) but apparently so many women in Paris swear by it for getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles. I know this is sold in Paris and I couldn’t find it in Monte-Carlo - but I did end up finding it at a salon in my city.

How I healed my skin barrier…

My skin barrier was really damaged in late spring of 2022. It was frustrating because I wasn’t sure how to treat it. Stephanie @glamzilla invited me to a dinner where I got to meet @olehenriksen . I asked him for advice and he said he would email me. Not only did he email me - he called me and he gave me a 1:1 skin consultation.

He’s an absolute wealth of knowledge and very giving. He said I should address what was happening within - focus on diet and exercise and suggested I read two books:
📖Fats that Heal. Fats that Kill
📖How Not to Die.

He advised I keep my skin care routine simple - cleanse with Ole Henriksen Truth Juice and Moisturize with Strength Trainer.
.
Both of these products are now staples in my daily skincare routines. I love the way they feel as they glide over my skin. They’re rich and jam packed with moisturizing goodness. Fortunately for me, my skin has cleared up and is thriving.

Simple Dry Skin Fix

Use a humidifier.

When I was a child, my derm told my parents to get a humidifier. It helps add to moisture in the air.

Over the last few years, I’ve been running my cool and warm humidifier during the colder months. The one I has a timer and a few other digital settings which are useful. Raising the humidify levels in our home not only helps our skin but our plants love it too. Yes, if you find that your indoor tropical plants are suffering from browning tips - try raising the humidity levels in your home.

Night Time Skin Care Routine with bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is a hydrating ingredient that is safe for all skin types. It helps with wrinkle reduction, increases skin firmness, and reduces the appearance of pores. As a person with mature skin, my skincare goals are all about using products that have anti-aging benefits.

In this video I was use @innbeautyproject Slushy hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and bakuchiol infused serum to see how it would react to my skin. All good👍🏽 There are several brands that sell just bakuchiol like @theinkeylist or @theordinary . I’m considering trying it and using both retinol and bakuchiol to see is there is any added benefit (a suggestion made by dermatologist Dr Maxfield)
