Day 24 of the 30 Day Spring Cleaning Challenge - VACUUMING THE RUG . The goal today was thoroughly clean my rug. I have a @ruggable so if I needs to be washed I can toss it into the washer and wash it. Mine has no stains and so I didn’t think washing it was necessary. I decided I was just going to thoroughly vacuum it. . I also knew I wanted to vacuum the rug parts that were being covered by the couch. So I pushed back the couch and was shook with how dirty it was…I mean didn’t it look dirty? That is legit the dirtiest area of my home. Yikes 😬 . Anyhow, I’ll show you how I cleaned it for Day 25. #LTKhome
Day 21 of the 30 Day Spring Cleaning Challenge - SPOT CLEANING THE SOFA. . This couch is so comfortable - my mom actually gave it to me. It’s massive and perfect for napping. Stains happen from time to time - if they’re bad I try to clean it right away with Folex - if not, I wait for times like this to bring out my dusty spot clean pro machine to get the job done. . You can rent machines like this at hardware stores or you can also call in a professional. I have done that before with great results and the price was just over $100. . Dust, water, fertilize, give them some structure and don’t forget to clean their pots. . My skin as of late has been having some eczema flare ups and it says it’s great for atopic prone skin. 🤞🏾 ✨ @nuxeca Huile Prodigieuse® (this is available in my city) I’m excited to use this on my hair and I’ll try it out my face - this is the number one beauty oil in France ✨ @larocheposayusa Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid Fragrance-Free SPF50+ 50ml (I don’t think you can get the 400 version in North America) - I’ve used it and will continue to use it. Love that the filter as extra protection ✨A313 - This is a a retinyl ester - it’s supposed to be gentler (we’ll see) but apparently so many women in Paris swear by it for getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles. How I healed my skin barrier… . My skin barrier was really damaged in late spring of 2022. It was frustrating because I wasn’t sure how to treat it. Stephanie @glamzilla invited me to a dinner where I got to meet @olehenriksen . I asked him for advice and he said he would email me. Not only did he email me - he called me and he gave me a 1:1 skin consultation. . He’s an absolute wealth of knowledge and very giving. He said I should address what was happening within - focus on diet and exercise and suggested I read two books: 📖Fats that Heal. Fats that Kill 📖How Not to Die. . He advised I keep my skin care routine simple - cleanse with Ole Henriksen Truth Juice and Moisturize with Strength Trainer. . Both of these products are now staples in my daily skincare routines. I love the way they feel as they glide over my skin. They’re rich and jam packed with moisturizing goodness. Not only can use them to clean a variety of hard floors but you can also use them in unconventional ways. .
