Going from a hyper independent woman to a SAHM (& girlfriend, before our son) hasn’t always been the easiest adjustment. Knowing our history makes my sometimes mundane day to day life, so freeing.

You can’t fully know where you’re going, if you don’t know where you come from and/or why you’re even presented with some of the opportunities you are.

I’ll forever be grateful for those that came before me and fought for us. Ran so we could walk. A Black Woman being able to even think of living a ‘soft life’ was unheard of. Still something we’re actively working towards allowing ourselves to enjoy.
