My husband understood the assignment. He saw me eyeing these adorable cork slides for spring/ summer and snatched them up. They are soooo comfortable and I love the strap.

So excited for our playroom / family room design that’s coming together. It’s a transitional style and we are using our existing sofa. I was inspired by an FBMP find (these funky worlds away lamps!) and a design scheme from EBI INTERIOR DESIGN.

I tried St Tropez self tanner. Here’s what I thought and what I’d recommend after trying it:

Application: Loved the mitt. I’ve never used one before and it made it super easy to apply and mess free. The tanner does dry quickly and I could see it was making some spots that are still there this morning. I do think I can easily smooth them out after a shower and using a washcloth.

Prep is key. Exfoliate everywhere and shave. Put body lotion on ankles, elbows, wrists and knees. This is true for any self tanner so no difference here.

Best part: Non sticky and fast drying. Did not transfer to my clothes or bedding. You can shower within 8 hours.

Overall impression: Prep is key. The mitt is a game changer. Both were more impactful that the more expensive self tanner. I think you can get the same results with a drug store self tanner if you use the mitt and good prep.

A friend of mine was carrying this bag this weekend and I loved it! It is durable, wipable and everything you want in a summer bag. It comes in a variety of sizes and colors - of course you know I’m a neutral girlie.

The wayday sale is May 4-6 this year! I always share great west elm, Ballard designs and other designer dupes that are on sale during wayday sale and this year I’m excited to share some of my own finds.

I’ve been trying to make affordable healthier choices for our family over the last year without adding to my mental load and over complicating things.

Along with buying organic fruits and veggies that are part of the “dirty dozen”, I switched to these dropps for my laundry and dishwashing. My favorite part is that they are part of my Amazon subscribe and save order so I don’t even think about it and I’m still doing good in the world.

I’ve trialed these for over a month and our clothes and dishes have never been cleaner.

Listen, don’t overcomplicate this. Don’t buy the notepad to go with the gift card. Don’t buy the mug. Or the apple. Or the flower. Or the special gift card holder. Just put all of what you’d spend into a gift card and write a note of gratitude. Have your kid sign it too (better yet, have your kid write it!).
PS - If you really want to uplevel, ask your teacher their favorite store or place to eat. Our favorites this year were Nordstrom, ChickfilA, Amazon, and Target. I hit up the gift card spinner at Kroger and was done in under 10 min.
