Connection & Community was the theme and my focus this past #nyfw season!! Runway shows are a treat but seeing my fashion friends and making new ones is always my favorite part of fashion week!! After being surrounded by creatives with good energy and vibes, I always leave nyfw feeling motivated and inspired, and remembering my “why” 💕💕

💕💕 @thestylescene.nyc created by @amandafinesse hosted two 🔥🔥🔥 events this season! There’s the “Anything but Basic Brunch” where everyone gets fly, we eat devious brunch food, & keep pouring the drinks! This year it was at the @elsierooftop & was a great time!
💕💕 To kick off nyfw @thestylescene.nyc also hosted a denim themed networking happy hour!! Everyone came with their denim best & impressed. @tkobytabithaoanda debuted her collection at the event - pictures and video cannot do it justice 😍the event also introduced me to two new denim brands that I’m now obsessed with @maidendenim @dud_denim
💕💕 @fashionmingle hosted a stunning happy hour @walkerhotels on the rooftop and the views of the city were everything! Here I connected and learned about a few new to me brands- @
💕💕 last and surely not least, I attended the first in person recording of the @mefagency podcast with @blackfashionfair

So grateful for each and everyone of these opportunities to connect with so many talented, passionate people and to be able to share with you all!! Until next season 😘🫶🏾💕

Summer is ending & Fall is approaching… but which season should you dress for?!?! IMHO- both! By pairing your summer pieces with more fall ones… sounds like a good compromise to me!

One of my favorite ways to do this is pairing a slip dress with denim! It’s a unconventional way to wear your summer dresses with a little more warmth. Added bonus- the pairing is simple but eye catching!

This year there have been so many 🔥designer collabs and it can be hard to get a hold of the pieces that catch your eye! One of my top tips to securing the goods- make friends with an SA (sales associate). If a collab is offering pre-orders, they’ll be sure to let you know! This way you can comfortably secure the pieces you want without crowds and anciety!

Part 1 of my haul was secured via preorder with an SA. Part 2 I had to set several alarms to wake up early to get the pieces I missed in part 1- including the dog! Can’t forget that 😂

One of my current physique goals is a tighter core and more booty and Pilates is an amazing addition to my current workouts to achieve this! If you have the same goals, I highly recommend trying out the @myflopilates reformer:
