This is everything we used to transform our Billy bookcase into our high-end cabinet inspiration! We bought the Billy bookcase with the Oxberg doors from Ikea. We then painted it using Sherwin Williams Caviar on the outside and Sherwin Williams Alabaster on the inside- both in satin!

I love the way these dried orange slices (tied with my favorite velvet ribbon) and the candles (a great dupe!) made this tree feel so nostalgic and Victorian. This @kingofchristmas tree played its part perfectly as it reminds me of the fresh-cut trees we used to chop down when I was little. Just looking at it brings back memories of that fresh pine scent. I’m thinking I may still add some tinsel. What do you think?

Decorating your tree this weekend? 🎄 Try adding ribbon to the tips for a nostalgic look!

We added velvet ribbon to the tips of our Christmas tree this year and it is reminiscent of that old-fashioned tinsel look with a DIY twist. We alternated between a simple knot and bow throughout the tree for a full, yet not over-powering, look. It was so simple and took no time at all!

We were able to fill our tree with one 25 yard roll of ribbon that we found on Amazon.
