i just finished reading GET A FINANCIAL LIFE; PERSONAL FINANCE IN YOUR TWENTIES & THIRTIES by Beth Kobliner and i genuinely think this should be required reading the second you turn 18.

nobody taught me anything about money growing up. i entered adulthood completely lost—student loans i didn’t know how to tackle, credit i barely understood, no retirement savings as a self-employed person, and homeownership feeling like a pipe dream.
