I found this antique loom-woven, jacquard bedspread on eBay for only $100.
•
The seller said that it had been in their family since it was made in the late 1800’s! (I realize the seller could say anything and I have no way to prove it’s true or not…but I’m choosing to believe what they said 🙃)

The couple of holes in it just add to the character - But given its age, it’s in remarkable condition I think.
•
I love thinking about the hands that made it and all of the many people it kept warm over the past 130ish years. That might creep some people out, but I think it’s amazing. I only wish I could say that it was one of my ancestors who made it.
•
Now it’ll stay on my son’s bed. I’ve told him how old and precious it is in hopes he won’t destroy it 😐

I have the 18” diameter, but I think a 16” would be okay for a 7’ tree.

The taller/bigger the tree, the larger diameter you need in order to keep the proportions accurate.

Before becoming a painter, I was a hair stylist for more than 12 years.

So when I recently bought new hair toy I loved, I knew I wanted to share it with you guys and pass along a few helpful tips for using a blow drying round brush

To demonstrate how much smoother my hair is after using the blow dry brush, On one side of my head I’m drying my hair like I normally do using a regular blow dryer and on the other side I use the Revlon blow dry brush.

Tip one: start with only damp hair. No sopping wet hair allowed!

Tip Two: use a lightweight frizz serum or oil - I love Moroccan oil light

Tip three: keep the brush in constant motion always

Tip four: maintain tension on the hair when pulling the brush through

And tip five: use the lowest heat setting you can - I always use mine on low.

I love how this thing makes my hair so much smoother!

Tired of your comforter or duvet not covering the sides of your mattress?

ME TOO!

I’ve rounded up these oversized bed blankets, quilts, comforters and duvets + duvet covers that are oversized enough to finally cover up the sides of your mattress (and some of these will also cover your box springs too!)

*Tip 1: If you buy an oversized duvet, be sure that your duvet cover is also oversized so it’ll fit properly!

*Tip 2: If you have a pillow top King, look for a width of 110” minimum.

*Tip 3: Covering the mattress with an oversized blanket or quilt, THEN folding a comforter or duvet at the end of the bed might be the perfect solution for your woes (this is the option I’ll be doing!)

*Tip 4: There are two parts to a duvet; the insert and the cover. So remember to buy both of you go this route.

I almost always recommend the Rolling and Tipping method versus rolling only when painting cabinets and furniture (when spraying isn’t an option).

Rolling the primer or paint on then immediately tipping off the material using one of these thin, synthetic bristle brushes will leave a smoother texture result than rolling only.

My most favorite brush for this is the bottom one with pink bristles. It’s a high quality brush that will last for years if cared for properly. The quality is reflected in the price.

The other two options are a 1-2 time use brush that is far, far less quality…again, the quality is reflected in the price. But they’ll get the job done.
