Got some photos from my half marathon printed and put one of them on my fridge paired with a sticker commemorating the race (I use magnets to put stickers on the fridge so I can easily re-use them!). Used these small but mighty silver circular magnets I recently got on Amazon to hold them in place. They come in a multipack of 45 pieces with a convenient hard plastic case!

ASICS Gel Nimbus have been my go-to running shoes for years! They are among the shoes running stores recommend to me based on my foot and gait analysis. (I have relatively high arches but my gait is neutral.) I love the extra cushioning that the ASICS Gel Nimbus offers. Makes me feel like my joints are taking less pounding during my runs!

This past Saturday I ran my first half marathon! Finished in 1:53:02, which crushed my primary goal to finish in under two hours!

My race day fit featured the Under Armour fly-by shorts and my trusty ASICS Gel Nimbus shoes. Goodr active sunglasses kept me from squinting and didn’t slide all over the place. A waist pouch from Amazon held my phone and nutrition. Salt Stick electrolyte chews and energy gummies provided mid-race fuel. And my Garmin Forerunner watch kept me on pace! Last month I tried the new Restoration Hardware Rooftop Restaurant in Raleigh for a belated 40th birthday celebration for my best friend! We enjoyed the most beautiful boujee lattes and delicious sea salt chocolate chip cookies!🍪 And the atmosphere was absolutely stunning! Definitely recommend for a special occasion!

It’s finally cooled off enough in the South to wear socks, and my Draper James x Rustler Hat Co socks I bought at the Draper James Pop-Up in Chapel Hill a couple months ago look perfect with my Birkenstock Boston clogs! I love the precious ruffle detail at the top and & “Darlin’” embroidered on the sides! The perfect embodiment of Southern Style in a sock!
