Then divide that number by 2 to get the width for each panel. For example, if your window is 100 inches wide: 100 × 1.5 = 150 150 ÷ 2 = 75 Each panel should be 75 inches wide. For smaller windows, I never order less than 40 inches per panel if you like a fuller look when the curtains are open. Length: Measure the height of your wall and decide where you want to hang the rod. I like the rod to be about 4-10 inches below the ceiling. Then measure from the rod to the floor and subtract about 2 inches to account for the curtain rings or hooks. This will allow the curtains to touch the floor without dragging. Example with 9-foot walls: 108 inches wall height - 10 inches (rod below ceiling) - 1 inch (space for rings / hooks) = 97 inches curtain length So in this case, I would order 97-inch curtains.
