This is my first official skincare post! I’ll be mixing more of these in with my feed. So here goes: my AM Skincare Routine.

First, I use @tula Multi-spectrum Eye Renewal Serum under my eyes. It has a metal applicator and feels so cooling.

Next, I mix @drunkelephant C-Firma Serum, B-Hydra, and Protini together and apply all over my face and neck. I let everything dry.

Then, I put on my @Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

I finish up with @drunkelephant Umbra Sheer SPF mixed with a few drops of D-Bronzi for some color!

My eyes look like dark holes that lead to the abyss. So naturally I’ve been trying lots of products to help minimize this. I spoke with my dermatologist and learned I can’t really get rid of my dark circles - no one can. The presence of dark circles is due to stress, lack of sleep, fluid buildup, genetics, and…aging. As we age, our skin loses its volume. Because the area under the eye has very thin skin to begin with, it gets even thinner with age. It’s easier to see blood vessels and eye socket outlines. Any product that claims to get rid of dark circles is misleading you. Products can “reduce the appearance” of circles by color-correcting, de-puffing, etc. But the only cosmetic way to get rid of them is to get fillers. I haven’t done that yet - but if you have, I’d love to hear about your experience!

Anyways, back to my picture. This is my current eye routine. The Patchology patches cool and hydrate. The Tula serum does the same thing - it has a metal applicator. The Elemis serum helps firm up skin and reduce wrinkles. I just got this recently, so I can’t speak to it’s potency. I do like that it absorbs quickly and wears well under makeup. The Kiehl’s eye cream is incredibly hydrating. I use that in the morning. I use C-Tango from Drunk Elephant in the evening. It can pill if you use too much. So I typically don’t wear it under makeup. C-Tango has vitamin C, which helps brighten and reduce coloration. If you have an eye product that you love, please tell me about it! Product Spotlight: @farmacy Honey Savior! This skin salve has been amazing for my Eczema on my arms and legs. It works better than my prescription creams (Eucrisa, hydrocortisone, etc) that I’ve gotten from the dermatologist and allergy doctor. This surprised me at first. So I did some research on the main ngredients. @farmacybeauty products are based around Echinacea (a special formula specific to Farmacy) and Honey. Echinacea is an herb (comes from a flower) that has tons of antioxidants. People use Echinacea as a supplement to treat cold symptoms and other illnesses. Honey has been used for centuries for food and medicinal purposes - especially to treat and heal wounds. Honey Savior helps heal dry/cracked skin, split cuticles, and soften hands. DE D-Bronzi: I’ve had this for a while and originally wasn’t a fan. I kept putting too much on and my face would look like Pauly D from the Jersey Shore. But through trial and error, I learned that using a TINY amount is what works for me!

Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist: I’ve only had this for ~ 2 weeks, but I love it! The mister works great and covers most of my face. My skin feels hydrated for hours after I use it.

Oribe Hair Oil: this smells amazing. People think it’s perfume. It’s not. I use it on my ends to make them look shiny. It absorbs easily and is lightweight.
*
Summer Fridays R+R Mask: this is one of my top 3 favorite masks! The texture and scent are perfection.
*
Fresh Sugar Mint Rush: I bought this from my local Sephora. It’s not online yet. This balm goes on clear and has a faint mint smell. It’s not overpowering, like some mint products.

Happy Self Care Sunday, AKA Babyfacial Sunday!What’s your Sunday evening routine? Mine usually involves laundry, taking a bath or shower, doing a face mask, painting nails, etc. It’s my way of winding down before the start of a new week. I also try to make this day as enjoyable as possible; I used to hate Sundays growing up because I would feel anxious most of the day. Did anyone else feel that way too?

1 more new-to-me product that I want to share: YTTP Superberry Hydrate + Glow mask! I grabbed it at Sephora about 2 weeks ago and I’ve used it 5-6 times. It’s not a “mask” in the traditional sense; it operates more like a moisturizer because you leave it on overnight. When you wake up, your skin feels so soft. I’ll do a more thorough review once I’ve used it for a month or so.

I’m so excited about today’s beauty photo featuring my favorite alcohol-free toners! Toners can be a great step in your skincare routine. They sweep away dead skin cells, hydrate, lessen irritation/redness, remove any residual makeup, and can prevent acne (depending on the ingredients). So why alcohol-free? Alcohol is an astringent - which means that it constricts tissue. It’s great for cleaning/closing cuts. It’s not so great on your face because it can dry out your skin.

I alternate between these toners depending on what stores I recently shopped at. I apply toner after I remove makeup and clean my face. It comes before serums, gels, and moisturizers.

@pixi Glow Tonic - I’ve used this off and on for over a year. Pixi makes a mini size, which is perfect for traveling. Pixi also has Glow Tonic toner wipes. So convenient.

@mariobadescu Glycolic Acid Toner - I’ve been using this for 2+ years. It’s helped with my dry skin!

@thayers Cucumber Facial Toner - This toner is really cooling and it calms my skin down if I’m starting to breakout. I use it a lot during the summer.

@fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner - I just bought this 2 weeks ago from @sephora. It was in the shopping section at the registers - that area always gets me. I’ll admit I bought it because the packaging was pretty, and because it has actual rose petals inside! I’ve used it 4 times and it smells great.

This is one of my favorite tops at the moment. It’s very flattering because the stripes minimize my hips! I wore it to work last week, and then this weekend while out to dinner. My weather app said that it was 0° outside this morning. NO THANK YOU. I guess we’re lucky, because it’s much colder in many parts of the US. I bundled up as much as I could - this sweater is nice and thick, and I have a tank top on underneath. The only difference is I ended up wearing bean boots since I didn’t want any skin showing. I posted a few videos on my stories last night about my new tote bag organizer from @totesavvy and got a few questions! It fits perfectly in the NeverFull GM (and also in the MM) and the Longchamp Le Pliage large tote. Mine is the deluxe version. This past weekend I took Stella for a long walk on a trail near our house. She wore her coat because it was so cold. I spent the first 10 minutes of the walk in the parking lot trying to convince her to walk in her coat. She just stood there and refused. I even tried bribing her with treats. Nothing worked, so took the coat off 🙄. And she walked 3 miles! Anyways, I’ve been wearing these Nike joggers and Zella hoodie a lot! Some colors of the hoodie are on sale. It comes in regular and plus size - same with the pants. Do you have joggers? I love them!

I know there are rules for wearing colors during certain times of the year. But I don’t really care bc I think most fashion rules are silly. So I’m wearing my bright yellow sweater today. I’m curled up on the couch working from home in this cardigan, tee, and leggings. Maybe I’ll put on jeans when I need to go out. But maybe I won’t. My cardigan and tee are both 50% off today!! Harry snapped this pic the other day after work (before more snow fell). We were rushing to get a pic done outside before the sun set. You can easily create this outfit with a black vest and any color tee! Before this season, I’d never had a black puffer vest. Clearly I was missing out bc they’re so versatile and can be thrown on over anything. I linked a bunch in case you want one too. I also found my exact black slip-on shoes. This was my view on Sunday afternoon - got chocolate and a book! I’m reading The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory. It’s the 2nd book in a series about the Yorks/Lancasters in the UK (aka Henry VIII’s relatives). Historical fiction books are my favorite. Especially WWII, ancient history (Greek/Roman), and the early modern period in Europe (1400s - 1700s). What’s your favorite genre? And do you prefer real books or a kindle?

I’m sitting here working from home and the wind is HOWLING. I love it. I love winter weather! And winter clothes - they’re the best. This top is perfect for winter. I’m in PJs watching the X-men movies, but I took a quick photo of some recent favorite accessories! The color of this clutch (mink) goes with everything. It’s like a grayish/purple. I linked it, along with some other bags in the same color. As for these lip balms...one is a sugar scrub! But unlike other scrubs that you must rinse off, you can keep this one on. My “crusties” are going away!! The other is a lip balm that changes color based on your PH. Lastly, I saw these earrings on Instagram and asked for them for Christmas!
