Just a few simple additions to our entry were all that was needed to make it festive. A little tree that I've had for years, a few boxes wrapped in plain brown kraft paper and tied with red ribbon 🎀, and a cozy white throw blanket did the trick. It took about 10 minutes.

Now if I'm totally honest with you, my tree isn't fully decorated and I'm okay with that. And the mantels aren't crying because they've also been neglected. They really don't care.

Whatever you do or don't do this year is perfectly acceptable. Or any year, for that matter. For those who have gone all out with decor and baking this year, kudos to you. I enjoy looking at your homes.

I love deckorating 😃 our covered deck area for each season. We're fortunate that it's warm enough to be out here for at least 9 months out of the year and it's a fun space to spruce up and enjoy.

I picked up the old worn out mantel at an estate sale for $40 several years ago and it looks like it was made for this spot. 𝘖𝘰𝘱𝘴, 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. I started a new collection.😁 I saw some antique wooden butter molds at an auction and didn't have the willpower to pass them by. The intricate details and patina spoke to me...𝘆𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲. So I just had to get them! I've added them to our antique oak hutch for some cozy vintage fall decor and love how they look here!
