Gearing up for the Super Bowl of table setting, Thanksgiving! Although we won’t be hosting this year I can’t help but enjoy pulling out some of my hosting bests to put together a turkey worthy tablescape using some seasonal favorites. My @thehorsehoecrab monogrammed Essential Dinner Napkins are the star of the show and inspired my color scheme for this table! I opted for the Kiawah font with my initials and their team could not have been better to work with sharing a few different thread color options and how the colors would look together. Wearing a Julia Amory Jane Dress in Twilight in my guest bedroom wallpaper reveal reel. I sized up to a medium in this dress and am glad I did since a small would have fit tight across my bottom! If your figure is a bit more straight then stick to your regular size, but otherwise you’ll want to size up

Over the summer I upgraded our guest bedroom’s walls from a yellow I did not love to this Amazon grasscloth wallpaper by society social! I opted for the color whisper blue and used about 11 rolls for a standard size room (with two windows and a closet with two doors). I’ve linked the wallpaper and the wallpaper application kit that made installation much smoother (quite literally)!

I’ve found the best gift whether you’re in need of a guest book for a wedding or baby shower or housewarming gift for a friend moving somewhere new! Pastel Proper’s blank books offer a variety of cities, phrases, and colors to fit the recipient's style and are a great place to store memories, photos, and more! I’ve been slowly trying to accumulate art for our walls, and my mom brought the perfect solution with her the last time she visited! She gifted me some handpainted plates she received as a wedding gift and an invisible edge plate hanger that I decided would be a great way to add some color and interest to the corner of our living room! While plates may not be “art” they make a great affordable option that can make a big impact when hung in a group. This is the perfect solution to any one off plates you may see at antique stores or estate sales!

I couldn’t let too much of April pass before sharing what I read in March! I found myself listening to more podcasts than audiobooks this month, but I’d love recommendations of books to add to my reading list for this month. I’ve put together my best tips for applying tape trim to these Amazon curtain panels! I did another pair of these last summer and after being so impressed by the outcome knew I’d be doing a second pair for our guest bedroom.

This pair of panels is $70 on Amazon and they have a pinch pleat header, the pleats are already well trained, they come with drapery pins, they’re blackout, and they even have a weight at the bottom to make sure they hang nicely! You can get them in multiple colors and lengths, but this pair is “white” and the ones in our bedroom are “natural.”

I ordered my trim from Etsy and have linked a collection of favorite trims in my stories (also on my LTK AND YOU CAN FIND ME BY SEARCHING “prepinyourstep”) if picking out trim seems overwhelming! Keep in mind that a wider trim may make it trickier to adhere to the pinch pleat but will make more of a statement. I wouldn’t choose anything wider than 3.5” and tend to base the curtain color on the background color of the trim to make them feel more cohesive and professional!

We use these with curtain rings and French return rods which I ordered from Amazon and have linked on my Amazon storefront.

Our primary bedroom is coming together and I’m excited to share it with y’all today along with some of the other ideas we have for the space! Most of the furniture we already had or were able to get for a deal on Facebook marketplace making it easy to update with new pillows, rugs, and lamps and my favorite Amazon curtains upgraded with tape trim and heat n bond. I’d love to change up the art, but overall love the way our pillows combine more masculine colors on a floral print and am so happy with this rug purchase to add warmth and make the space feel grounded! All the details from this blue and white tablescape using my new The Inside tablecloth and Pickard China (not linked but in Georgian blue) we registered for. You won’t believe the price of this bamboo flatware (dishwasher safe) and it’s the perfect way to make a dressy table still feel casual as opposed to using everyday flatware or my silver pattern.

This small vanity piece was one of my first Facebook marketplace purchases and I still love it just as much today as when I bought it! I found our coffee table on Facebook Marketplace for $40 and love the faux bamboo detailing on the legs and cane shelf for displaying books. The Burl wood box shown fits perfectly in the shelf and stores our tv remotes out of sight to help keep our space uncluttered!

We’re lucky to be able to borrow this unused sideboard from Hunter’s parents storage unit to use as our media console. I love traditional style furniture and think this piece adds warmth and elegance to our space! I’ve linked some similar sideboards that I found online as well as similar chairs to the ones I found at an antique store, but I highly recommend searching Facebook marketplace and your local antique stores! To make the tv a little less of a focal point, I added book stacks to either side and accessorized with vases and frames!

I finally convinced myself to order Ballard’s Dori Sisal Rug for our bedroom while it was on sale (it’s still on sale!!) and love the way it adds warmth to the space. The room needed some separation from the brown furniture on a similarly stained brown floor and this did the trick! Our room is square so we got the biggest size that would fit, 8x10, and it fills the space well. I love the design on the rug and the sisal is definitely softer than most! If you’ve been considering it we’re loving it so far!

Wedding photos are in so getting a few printed and hung before guests arrive for Thanksgiving quickly went to the top of my to-do list! I love the finish on these Amazon frames that come as a four pack. I upgraded the mat to ones with a bevel cut v detail to make them seem a little more professionally done. Frames are forty dollars for four frames (I have color: gold)! Mats come as a pack of ten for twelve dollars (I have color: ivory)!
