hi friends! hope everyone is well and hanging in there. these are scary times for sure, but in them i’m reminded to be a extra grateful for the small things. i’m grateful for the past couple days of sunshine after what seemed like so many rainy and dreary ones. the light and sweet sounds of chirping birds is quarantine therapy, isn’t it?

i love that on sunny days our little guy’s room gets flooded with light, but it’s not so good for sleeping. (the little that he gets and let’s us get 😴. we. are. tired. and, he’s one, what in the world?! who else has lived with a sweet sleep terrorist?! please tell me it gets better 😬) we finally got blackout curtains hung up. we aren’t able to drill into many of the walls (steel and cement), so we used room divider tension rods. worked like a charm and so do these curtains that are waaay more affordable than most out there. seriously, curtains are pricey (but these aren’t 🙌🏼)! anyway, they’re linked through #liketkit so you check them out if you need curtains. you’re going to love them too.

do you ever feel the need to start rearranging everything? like suddenly you can’t settle because everything feels off? i’ve loved rearranging furniture and decor since i was a little girl. i even used to help friends organize and rearrange their rooms 😬. rearranging furniture isn’t really an option with our space limitations where we currently live, but to scratch the itch i play around with dresser tops and tables until things feel right again. i’m happy with this little corner of our bedroom again (for now at least).
