I need to update my post about holiday lipstick shades with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Blur in Walk of No Shame. It’s become my go-to red lip. The finish is just so velvety and unique. It’s a red without being a RED.

I’m quickly becoming a big fan of the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation for full glam looks during the colder weather when I need something a LITTLE more hydrating but still full coverage and blurring

I’m in FL this week and we had one of the craziest storms I’ve experienced down here. Obviously after things cleared it was still super humid and misty going out to dinner. I’ve been low key testing the NARS Soft Matte Complete Foundation. I probably should have tried it a lot earlier but I put it off because I was iffy on the ingredients. NARS tends to not be super great for sensitive and acne-prone skin. So far, I haven’t seen any clear signs that this is causing breakouts.

In some of their other base products I can struggle to get a good shade match. Here I’m using Santa Fe. The undertone is near perfect for me but can oxidize to be a bit dark for my lighter chest and neck area. However, it matches my arms so well.

Ideally I’d like to figure out a “winter” shade that works when I’m not tan. Otherwise it’s hard for me to get behind a foundation I don’t feel like I can wear year-round. If it doesn’t cause breakouts and I can find a match, this just may be up there with my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

Easy low maintenance-looking makeup with enough coverage to feel confident. I like the Dior Backstage Face and Body foundation but haven’t been using it much lately because I’ve been in between shades. I mixed 1.5N and 2N to get close enough to a match. If Dior could get their undertones together they would be unmatched in terms of foundation quality across their whole range of products. I’ve been really liking the elf monochromatic multi-stick lately for cheek definition and a soft look on the lips. I also fell in love with the tarte sculpt tape out of nowhere. If you want something casual and glowy, put down the Mario sculpting liquid and pick up the tarte sculpt tape wand. Trying a sample of the new Charlotte Tilbury mascara and it seems quite promising

Now that brands are removing cyclopentasiloxane from beauty products, I’ve really had to learn to be a better makeup artist to get products to last all day on the face. For longevity, the best approach is to layer products. Is it convenient? No. But removing an ingredient known for longwear and performance is going to completely change the industry.

For my holiday party, I knew I wanted a lip- and blush-forward look. I wanted something that had a little ambience to it, but would still stay on my face. I applied my makeup at 9 am and it last me past midnight, including running around cleaning and running errands all day, and even getting a little sweaty.

I was so happy with the look - beautiful, glamorous, but soft and not too over-the-top.

The Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow foundation really came in handy here. I love that formula but it would be so much more popular of a product if the shade range was better. I’m not going to lie, I layered A TON of bronzer and blush, but I knew what I was trying to achieve and it worked.

Casual winter going out look. I’m not a regular user nor the biggest fan of Armani Luminous Silk, but there can be a place for it. I wanted something that wasn’t going to look like full beat pancake face but would still build up to a good medium coverage. Wasn’t really in the mood for something shellacked to my face, but also didn’t want a serum that was going to slide around. Armani LS 5.1 is also a really good shade for me this time of year. It was one of those days where my makeup was just sitting beautifully and I didn’t have to keep going back over stuff. We have to celebrate those wins when we get them

Kept it fairly simple today but was really pleased with the look and how it held up throughout the day. Step-by-step breakdown:

- No primer. Prepped the skin, moisturized, eye cream
-Dior Forever Skin Glow in 3C - 2 pumps, applied with fingers
-Nars radiant creamy concealer - I got a mini size of this during the Sephora sale and I love. It’s like the only thing from Nars I like 🤣
-Makeup by Mario softsculpt contour stick in light medium. No surprises here.
Huda Blush Filter in the new blonzer shade Latte. Honestly it’s the best shade for my skin tone. Totally effortless look for everyday
-Topped with a bit of Mac mineralize blush in Love Joy using an angled brush
-also used Huda blush filter in crease of eyes
-Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study on lids
-softly lined with Lancôme kohl eyeliner in Black Coffee. Long time staple for me.
-MAC Macstack Superstack mascara. New sample for me and I love
-Lined the lips and completely filled in with MAC Stripdown
-MAC Lipglass in Spice
-MAC Chestnut liner very gently for a bit of definition
-set my under eyes and t zone with Huda Easy Bake in Cherry blossom. The standard.

When I set out to find a new foundation, it was really important to me to feel like the foundation could cover everything I wanted it to cover and was long lasting. I wish I had tried Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation earlier on in my process and was surprised by all the negative reviews. I loved it, the shade matching process was easy, it blends and blurs like a dream—I could go on and on. I don’t always break out the Armani Power Fabric foundation but when I do I’m never disappointed. One of the reasons I love it is because it’s the perfect shade for me. I’m 5.5 peach. First time in quite awhile I felt confident enough in the makeup combination to 1. Feel good all night 2. Post a selfie and 3. Recommend to others. Lots of doubling up with different products in different areas, because as I’ve mentioned in my IG stories, it’s been hard to find a holy grail since my BareMinerals foundation was discontinued. In this look I’m using a lot of MAC Cosmetics, elf, and the new Natasha DeNona Golden Palette, which immediately became my fave palette. So glad I got it for free with my Ulta points 😏. Loving the glowy blush look combined with Shanghai Spice from the Bring it Back, MAC collection

It’s an Estée Lauder Double Wear day today. This really is an oily girl’s dream. I’m typically more combo, sometimes even dry, but lately testing everything has made me regress a bit to oily. Woke up today feeling like I needed some Double Wear in my life and it worked perfectly. If you’re not oily, it really takes time figuring out a prep method that works for you. I’m wearing shade 3C2 Pebble

Today I have on the new Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt Serum in Medium. I really prefer the pump over the doe foot for more pigmented coverage. Layered on top I have elf camo blush in Peach Perfect and elf halo glow in shade 3 light medium. You really have to be careful adding a glow product to a thin matte formula like double wear, or it can add texture. I use a very sparing amount a bit lower down on my cheek bone than usual - and not too close to my nose.

Latte makeup… I love this new palette from too faced called Natural Eyes. People sleep on too faced—no they’re not as pigmented as Huda or ABH but sometimes I like that, especially for work or something more natural. Extremely blendable and good shades. Personally I sometimes get tarte and too faced mixed up…tarte eyeshadow ain’t it! But too faced 👌#LTKunder100
