Last summer trip feeling ☀️☀️ A weekend getaway is good for the soul, especially when you are seeing one of your best friends! 💜 This week has been so busy, with something after work every night but I take advantage of being able to go out and do things. Trying to get back to a “new normal” without your mom is not easy but I know that she is my angel watching over me and wants me to live life to the fullest like she always did. ❤️ For that, I’m trying to get back to something that I love to do on the side, that my mom loved to read & whole heartedly supported me on it (my blog)! I started with a blog letter to her, and last night I did my Instagram “cook with me” videos that I haven’t done in forever & shared my recipe on my blog: Buffalo Chicken Zucchini Boats & Stuffed Shells (link in bio for recipe). Hey Monday!!👋🏻👋🏻 I’ve been a busy bee here lately and focusing more on enjoying times in the moment and posting some about it later or just forgetting to post it because who cares 🤷🏼‍♀️ As long as you are in the moment and having fun with loved ones that’s all that matters! So I apologize for some of my inconsistency but I’ve decided that I need to do what makes me happy the most! If you aren’t, begin thinking of Monday’s as a FRESH start and all of the things you ARE capable of and that you can do!💪🏻🌟 Sometimes our minds can get bogged down and overwhelmed by all of these “goals” we are after. Instead of thinking and wishing about those goals, take action because you CAN do it! Set small goals for you to achieve by the end of the week. One of my small goals/rule for myself is that if I don’t wake up at 5:30am to workout like I normally try to before work, I do it right after work every day instead of missing that workout because l stayed up to late the night before!💪🏻 I’m thinking this will make myself try to go to bed earlier and feel better throughout the day!!☀️ But, If I do it in the evening some days, that’s OK! Just do what makes you feel best! 😄

Hi there, I took a “small break” from Instagram and I’m getting back to it! Sometimes in life you have to hit pause on something when things become to much. This is an honesty post... I needed a breather and just more time with God, and I was enjoying time with loved ones without the pressure of posting on social media. I was seeing that Instagram wasn’t bringing me that much joy (not that you all don’t), but for myself I knew it was time to step back from something & come back refreshed. Sometimes Instagram can paint a picture of someone’s life seeming “perfect” or “dreamy” by all the pictures posted and you can get caught up in that, but I promise you no ones life is perfect. Life is so awesome and a blessing, but if you think it is perfect just by others pictures, just remember they have rough times just like you. I wanted to share this picture because it’s just plain! Nothing extravagant or “dreamy” looking, but something that I love. I love taking my Lola girl for walks after work. 🐶❤️ it’s a breath of fresh air! I encourage you all to do those little things that you love, to spend extra time with loved ones and not on social media, and to not be afraid to hit pause on something for a bit if things are to much. You will feel so good afterwards.💜

This weekend a took a break from stories/posting and a lot of social media. I needed it... 🙌🏼 sometimes you have to step back for a minute to refocus your goals to step forward. It can get so easy to see what everyone else is doing and overwhelm yourself with to many thoughts (“oh, my idea is bad, or I need to do this instead of that”- we’re all guilty I’m sure) and it can become really toxic. Sometimes you just need to put your shades on and look forward, not at anything else!! So, for my “Motivation Monday” post for myself and others, my advice is that if social media is becoming toxic, if it isn’t bringing joy or inspiration, whether your trying to run a side business on it or it’s just personal, maybe it’s time for a little break or just a mind check to remember your goals and to “just do you”!!🌟🌟 Everyone is different so remember to be yourself and take that step forward. Be brave. And Be bold!💓💓.

It has been cold here, but it is nothing compared to Chicago & Minnesota! Have you been trying to be healthier or live a healthier lifestyle? Do you get overwhelmed by our society sometimes? My advice is to focus more on making healthier choices daily and taking small steps to become a better YOU! 🏃‍♀️ Think POSITIVE! I love to be healthy and to research/learn about different types of healthy foods & their health benefits to your body, but it doesn’t happen overnight... you have to take steps! Tonight I wrote a blog post called “10 Ways to be Healthier and to Live a Healthier Lifestyle”! Sometimes life can get crazy and we can get overwhelmed by just trying to be “healthy” or do what society is. But really, all you need to do is to be you and take SMALL steps to a healthier lifestyle and do little things daily that can help you be healthier and feel better!! Take small steps and focus on making choices to become a better YOU! Rather it’s in stress, health, or just life! Think Positive!! 🌟🌟
