When I bought these boots, I thought they were going to be my entire fall/winter personality. But then I struggled, putting together outfits. Skirts and dresses hit in the wrong place and I wasn’t into the skinny jeans or leggings look. Then it hit me. Maybe you don’t need pants at all? I never thought the no pants look was for me, but here we are! When I took away the bottoms, I suddenly have so many outfits. This is my first pantless looks with these boots. More to come. Buh-bye February aka January 2.0. You, too, made sure we felt every day of you. And while I’m looking forward to the month that launches spring, I lament the winter clothes I didn’t wear because they reside at the intersection of frostbite and fashion. This coat lining, from the historical design company Scalamandre was the inspiration for all the other bits. I love brown and yellow together. Yellow, especially butter yellow, is trending for spring so more fun yellow colors pairing are coming. Everything I’m wearing except the skirt and sneakers are 15-20 years old which shows the value in developing your personal style and buying quality pieces that you love. I see you March!
