Y’all I hate to admit it but I didn’t eat enough after running my half marathon over the weekend and I paid the consequences 😅 not only did I run the half marathon, I tacked on a couple miles as part of my weekly long run so I ran a total of 15.5 miles, mostly at my easy pace with 5 miles at my goal marathon pace. I felt fine until I got home, but I was so busy on Monday I forgot to eat as much as I normally would… don’t do that!! I repeat don’t do that!! I had chills, GI distress (ew but that’s what happened) and I felt disgusting. But pounding the smoothies is what brought me back to life and I’m feeling so much better now that I’m putting fuel back in the tank. The experience also made me realize that I was pushing myself way too hard and that I needed to ease off a bit. Thank goodness it’s a cutback week!
