Ok but I thought that I hit start on my garmin during my run this morning but I guess not 😂 what do we think? Does that extra half mile that I ran before I started my run actually count? 😂 taper crazy/marathon training brain in full effect 😂

Four easy miles with strides 💙 idk about you guys but when my runs start getting shorter the motivation to get up earlier and run goes OUT THE WINDOW 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 got up a little late but used this one to think through some absolute nonsense that my taper crazy brain pulled out of thin air. 🧠I know I’m not running as much on paper, but my body is doing some major repair work and I’m noticing it 😅 hungry all the time, super emotional, and sleeping like a rock 😂Why is it that the final few weeks of marathon training are so tough 😂 here’s to another one!!

Cannot believe that I’m wearing a long sleeve on a run 😭cooler temps are here!! Absolutely love this long sleeve for running! Breatheable, lightweight and SO soft. Really great for cooler mornings or layering.

14 mile long run turned into a dance party in the rain and I’m not mad about it 💃 theme of today’s run (and honestly all of my marathon training this season) just have fun and enjoy it mile by mile 🥰

14 miles at an easy pace this AM! By the time I got to the trail it was RAINING pretty hard 😅 really thought about heading home but thankfully after the first few miles the rain let up and it was a BEAUTIFUL day to run 😭❤️ spent most of this run thinking about what I want out of the next few weeks… run @runcim262 if the government shutdown continues and party pace @marinecorpsmarathon if the race goes on as planned? 👀 Just reminded of how much I love running no matter if I’m racing marathons or not and that any day you get to run is a GREAT day. Not the video I thought I would be making but out of full transparency I felt it was right to let my community know what I’m doing to prepare for the unexpected😅

want to first thank my coach @leah.runs.dpt for helping me navigate this situation and for helping me find a bib so that in the event the government shutdown continues, I can still race a marathon at @runcim262 ❤️ and while I’m not a huge fan of doing two marathons in one season, this is a unique situation and I’m willing to take on the risks by running both races if MCM goes on as expected.

I also want to say that while a marathon feels SO small in comparison to the other impacts of a shutdown, as runners it’s so important that we make a plan when there are challenges and to plan for the unexpected!

Honestly kinda crazy that I used to stay out so late going out and now I’m up at 6am eating a gel getting ready for an intervals workout for marathon training 😂growth growth 😂

THE SHOW MUST GO ON 💃🤩Six miles total with half mile repeats this morning on the ‘mill 🩷 I have cried twice during this training block: the night before my 20 miler and yesterday thinking about the possibility of MCM getting canceled 😅So instead of thinking about what I can’t control I spent today’s run thinking about what’s in my control… my mindset, my effort, and how much fun I can have in the process! 🫶I know that no matter what happens, if im healthy I’ll run a marathon this fall. 🏃🏼‍♀️Running this morning was a great distraction and reminder that what I love about running has very little to do with racing, I love it so much and I’ll do it for as long as I can no matter if there’s a finish line waiting for me. Here’s to another one!

20 MILE LONG RUN ✅ 😭 Yesterday I texted my coach @leah.runs.dpt bc I was kind of freaking out about this run because I felt pretty lethargic this week. 🫣Glad I didn’t allow my fears to take over bc after three miles I really fell into a groove and just kept moving.💃🪩 only focused on the mile ahead instead of the whole 20 miles and that helped me a TON❣️ just focused on having fun with this with no pace goals in mind. 6 ish miles of speed work with half marathon and marathon pace work! Going into this workout I was kinda like WTF 😂 legs are pretty heavy from the past few months of marathon training which is to be expected but I didn’t let it get to me mentally 💪🏻I broke this up in chunks and only focused on the work directly ahead because I felt a bit overwhelmed thinking about the whole workout 🫣 ended my workout feeling accomplished and capable, even if that looks like modifying! Last speedwork before I taper… COMPLETE ✅

STRONGER WITH FRIENDS 👯‍♀️🪩17 miles with some marathon and half marathon pace work in PHILLY with @runner_heather ✌🏻🥹 It’s pretty rare that we get to actually run together because Heather is so much faster than me (lol) so it meant the world to me that Heather offered to run at my pace 😭 we crushed it today! Felt very strong during all my efforts (needed to take a tiny break during a hilly portion) but I definitely credit Heather with hyping me up 😂 here’s to another one!
