Running has never been something that I have loved.

I’ve done it out of necessity, a requirement, or to do something with friends - but not something I would ever do solo.

But here we are - a new challenge - and a goal for accountability.

So I threw on hip hop playlist, pressed start, and did the dang thing.

Conditioning and pelvic floor/core days are my least favorite workouts.

I want to feel the burn of lifting heavy.

I want the next day soreness of a good lifting session.

I want the mental gymnastics of pushing myself to do more.

But the conditioning/core days are important too. Connecting to your body. Connecting to your breath.

Also - these elevated push ups were HARD y’all - I’ve got some work to do

20 daya into the month and I haven’t missed a workout, have hit my protien and water goals everyday, and doing my best to eliminate self talk.

Today was rough. I’m in need of a fancy dress for a charity event we have coming up, and I’m running out of time.

Fast forward to visiting 5 stores, and only 1 of 20+ dresses actually zipping up all the way - I am completely defeated.

I know that it’s not the end of the world, I know I’ve made incredible progress, and that this is just a blip. But it’s hard to have not found anything.

I start to go to my bad habits - how many calories do I need to burn? How many inches or pounds do I need to loose? How can I do it as fast as possible to make it work?

Don’t worry - no quick fixes or unhealthy acts will happen - because I have learned to be better, but dang does it mess with my mental state.

All that to say - we all have our days, set backs, and darn right down moments - but, we will get though them - stronger and better than before.
