Aussie damper!! This smoky, stodgey bread is my CHILDHOOD. It’s usually made with just Self Rising flour and water (in Australia, self rising flour has a raising agent and salt already in it). I added a little butter this time too! Did I over bake it by about 20 minutes? …….. well yeah💀 🤣 I did make my own bougie damper recipe a few years ago that has sourdough discard, milk, and butter in it (and doesn’t come with a burnt bottom)… so imma have to make that asap🫡 Would you make this?!
