One of my fav duvets is from @bollandbranch 😍 no, this is not an ad, it is actually cool to sleep under and I’m here for it! And that hemmed border is what sold me lat year, so much personality! If I want a super exaggerated fluff, I throw mine in the dryer for 10 minutes 🤌🏼

The quilt and knit blanket are bought as a king size when I have a queen bed so it completely drapes off the side. It gives that relaxed and comfortable feeling.

Down feather pillows are the way to go for that ultimate chopped look ☁️

I keep my color palette neutral for the warmer months, but this guide will give any bed and any color palette that super FLUFFY bed look! Have fun with it!

1) your most important step is leveling the chair rail. Not all walls are straight, fancy that. But once you have your chair rail up and leveled, the rest is BEYOND easy. I just used a basic leveler. A leveler does the same job as a laser one. You don’t really need one for this project.

2) get a scrap piece of wood and measure out the whole perimeter of the wall. This is SO much easier than measuring each and every box, trying to crunch numbers, trying to use painters tape to make sure your lines are straight (like why be stressing over painters tape), noooo thank you! 🫡

3) 3 boxes are still cute, less measuring, super easy. Just make sure the two end boxes are the same length then you can measure the middle box. I just used a box saw and cut my pieces at 45° angles. Use the scrap piece of wood to measure the distance between each box and boom, done.

4) CAULKING. It’s important. Makes everything look seamless. No, you don’t need baby wipes. Just an old rag and a piece of cardboard I ripped off a box. Cut the tip of the bottle little by little at 45°. You barelyyyyy want to see an opening, this will make sure you have very thin lines, no extra caulk everywhere!Soak your rag. Damp your finger on the towel every time you run your finger on the ledge. If you take too much off, that’s fine! Rub it on the cardboard. And you’re done! 🤗

Part Three of the entryway makeover ✨

I MADE CUSTOM BUILT-IN CABINETS 😱 I decided to utilize this space versus just doing an entryway bench or table. Now everything will look clean(er) especially when I’m about to have a little kiddo running around. The goal is clean, elevated, some coastal and some cottage feels.

The paint I used for the cabinets is Cream In My Coffee by @sherwinwilliams
The color I’m using for my wall color and shiplap panels (not shown in video) is Shell White and I kid you not, it adds SO much creaminess to the space. I’ll show it in Part Four: the reveal!

How to create a smooth front door finish with ZERO stress:

First off, color used is Behr Ink Black. I LOVE the heavy blue undertones in this. It’s like having a black door but with a little color.

TIPS 🔑
1. Using this masking tape is a GAME CHANGER. All you do is paint it on the windows, let dry for a couple ours, paint like no otherrrr because your windows are safe! Once you’re done painting, you score the edges and legit just peel it off. Too easy! You’ll never see me using my blue tape around windows ever again! 🤌🏼 COMMENT ‘SHOP’ for the link! 🔗

2. Apply your first coat of paint (my first coat I did not do in sections and I regret that). I forsure recommend painting in sections to avoid paint drying too soon.

3. Use a 320 grit sander sponge to prep your second coat. This makes sure you have a smooth surface/ sand down any bumps or grooves, SO important for a smooth door finish.

4. Once you apply your 2nd coat, paint with a brush like Purdy Nylox Glide brush, then use a clean roller and go over what you just painted (this part is deff important to do in sections)

4. Paint with the grain of your door 🔑

And there ya go! Something that used to be so complicated turned into something so easy and time-saving!

This is part of my open concept area. It took almost 2 years of trying to make it flow with the rest of the home and this is IT. Sometimes you just have to start from zero and put the rest together.

My open concept is neutral but warm, a lot of browns, whites, wood tones. Making the open concept *flow,* this space also had to follow that scheme. Sometimes black furniture pieces feel heavy, but it’s great to break up any space if you have a lot of neutral/wood tone pieces in your home!
