I’ve completely fallen in love with @summerfridays Lip Butter Balm. Being stuck in the house, I rarely wear makeup, so lip balms and masks are pretty much my go-to lip products. This balm is everything I’d want in a lip mask - it’s hydrating, stays put for hours and smells good enough to eat. It reminds me of my all-time favorite, Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask with more slip and more shine, making it the perfect daytime lip product.

🍋 Lemon lovers rejoice! I’m obsessed with anything lemon scented and this @freshbeauty Sugar Lemon Hydrating Lip Balm is so good! It has just the perfect amount of soft, creamy, lemon scent and isn’t overpowering - like lemon meringue pie. I’ve been a fan of Fresh lip products for years, but this one takes the cake (no pun intended). It’s hands down my favorite!

Not only does it smell delicious, but it’s super hydrating. It provides a nice layer of hydration that stays on the lips. No need to reapply multiple times throughout the day. At $18, it’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Earlier this week I reviewed the new @patmcgrathreal foundation (which I do love), but my absolute favorite foundation of the year has been the @diormakeup Backstage Face & Body Foundation. While I don’t often use primers, I was influenced by @ohuprettythings to try the Backstage Face & Body Primer and was not disappointed with this combo.

For me, the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation and Primer are a match made in beauty heaven! This lightweight primer gives my skin a beautiful, smooth base for foundation and helps to make my makeup last all day. The finish on this foundation is so natural. It doesn’t get cakey or cling to dry areas. If I had to recommend one foundation that I’ve been loving this year, it would 100% be this one.

Let’s talk about the new @patmcgrathreal Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation. The packaging is obviously beautiful. I’ll admit, that did influence my purchase and, like many others, I couldn’t resist giving it a try.

I’ve read mixed reviews on this foundation. For me, it’s a winner. I ordered online with Sephora’s shade finder and ended up with a perfect match with shade 7. The consistency is light and watery, much thinner than I expected. It gives light to medium coverage with a soft focus, natural finish and a gives a subtle glow to the skin. What I love most about this foundation is that it looks and feels like I’m not wearing foundation. It evens out my skin tone and blurs imperfections just enough, which makes it the perfect weekday foundation for me.

Currently, my skin is in it’s normal/dry phase, but I tend to get drier as the weather gets colder, so I’ll let you know if my opinion changes as we get into the fall/winter season. It still feels like summer here in Boston (which I’m super thankful for). I don’t usually use a primer, but I’ve been setting with a light dusting of my tried and true @iliabeauty Soft Focus Finishing Powder - a beautiful combo.

Wishing these beauties weren’t limited edition. I picked up the @ouai North Bondi and Rue St Honoré fragrances when they dropped, but with the holiday madness, I didn’t start using them until a couple of weeks ago.

They’re both lovely, but I can’t get enough of Rue St Honoré. I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do, but the gardenia notes are intoxicating. It’s still available on @netaporter. I may have to snag a backup. 😉

So happy it’s finally Friday. Has anyone else had a crazy week? Here’s a handful of my current faves that helped me get through my workweek.
▪️ @bumbleandbumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil - one of those staple products that I repurchase again & again. In addition to the much needed heat/UV protection, HIO makes my hair so soft that it slides through my fingers like silk. Plus, it smells incredible!
▪️ Am I the only one who uses multiple hair oils? I love @theouai Rose Hair & Body Oil for the ends of my hair and massage the rest into my arms & legs.
▪️ @lelabo Vanille 44 is one of my favorite scents, but sadly can only be purchased in Paris (unless you catch their city exclusive event). I usually find vanilla fragrances to be too sweet, but this one is smokey and a bit spicy.
▪️ The Shimmer + Glow Body Oil by @oliveandm is helping me hold onto my summer glow for as long as I can. This oil emphasizes what’s left of my tan and leaves my skin glowing.
▪️ I expressed my love for @summerfridays Overtime Mask last week. The pumpkin scent makes me excited for fall. I’ve been trying to use it just once a week to minimize the use of physical exfoliants on my face, but this mask just calls to me from my vanity.

✨ @glossier Solution is my current favorite AHA/BHA exfoliant. It’s so gentle, even on my sensitive skin. I’ve even found that I can use it in conjunction with the @caudalie Vinoperfect Glycolic Brightening Essence without irritation. Solution is currently out of stock at Glossier, but I’ll definitely let you guys know when it’s available again.
✨ @drunkelephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial has been my go-to mask for the past year. I use it once a week or when I notice that my skin is looking dull and it instantly brightens my skin. Babyfacial is SO worth the investment! I’ve yet to find a product that even comes close to giving me the results that this mask does.
✨ @contextskin Intensive Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 is one of my favorite moisturizers atm. I’m obsessed with the fresh citrus scent and the fact that it has SPF allows me to skip a step in my routine if I’m in a hurry. I’ve been loving Context’s hair products as well. More on them soon!

It finally stopped raining in Boston, so I’m spending the afternoon poolside with my munchkin. I love that the @ernolaszlo Firmarine Moisturizer has SPF 30 to protect my skin from the sun. The rich texture of this cream hydrates without feeling heavy. I’ve also taken to keeping my Firmarine Essence in my mini-fridge. The cooling effect is so refreshing after a day in the sun.

Found the perfect summer hair products courtesy of @mermaidperfume. From the second I opened the package, I fell in love with the scent of these products - like a tropical vacation, mixed with orange blossom & coconut. So good! I’ve only tried the shampoo & conditioner once so far, but one use left my hair feeling soft and shiny. Their Shine Spray, however, I’ve been using every day since I’ve received it. Not only does my hair smell incredible, but it delivers a frizz-free shine that doesn’t make my hair feel greasy or weighed down.
🧜🏼‍♀️ Mermaid products come in three different scents, all of which remind me of summer on the beach. As much as I love the scent of these products, I’m finding myself craving the corresponding perfume in n°1 (and maybe n°2 & n°3 as well). More on these soon!

It’s been a crazy week - so I’m posting an outtake.

▪️ @glossier Super Glow + I adore all of the Supers equally, but lately I’ve been on a mission to brighten my complexion and Super Glow is the perfect solution, as it wears beautifully underneath makeup during the day.
▪️ @youthtothepeople Superberry Hydrate & Glow Oil + I’ve been raving about this oil for weeks (see yesterday’s post, for example). One of my favorite new finds so far this year.
▪️ @fur_you Oil + My does-it-all oil that works miracles on literally any part of the body. I particularly love it post-shaving. A summer (if not all year round) must have.
▪️ @deciem The Ordinary Caffeine Solution + A serious lack of sleep calls for a workhorse product. This baby wakes up my under eyes in the morning like nothing else.
▪️ @koraorganics Noni Radiant Eye Oil + Another product that I talked about in yesterday’s post. I use it like a primer before concealer, as well as in the evening. Looking forward to trying more from Kora Organics, as I’m really enjoying this little gem.
▪️ @sundayriley Luna Oil + I’m just finishing up my third bottle of this oil. It’s one of the few products that’s stood the test of time in my routine and that I absolutely cannot be without. The combination of oils & retinoids seriously works wonders on my skin. I’ll break down the magic of this genius product in an upcoming post.

My newest obsession for the under eye area is @koraorganics Noni Radiant Eye Oil. I’ve been cursed with ridiculously dry under eyes and have yet to find the perfect eye cream ( although the @volitionbeauty Helix Eye Gel is pretty fantastic), but I’m so, so impressed with this product. It’s super light and almost feels like a dry oil. I love it at night, but using it pre-makeup is phenomenal! My concealer goes on so beautifully when I use this oil - no creasing, no flaking, just a perfectly smooth canvas. The applicator alone is worth buying this product for. The rose quartz roller ball is so refreshing & cooling, no matter how many times you swipe - no refrigeration necessary. The Noni Eye Oil has officially earned holy grail status for me. I’m still, however, on the hunt for the perfect eye cream. Recommendations welcome below. ✨

With so much hype surrounding @summerfridays Jet Lag Mask, I’d been dying to get my hands on it. I knew it would sell out during the Sephora sale, so I ordered it before the sale started. I’ve seen mixed reviews, but I wanted to give it a fair shot and give you my honest thoughts. I’ll admit, the gorgeous packaging drew me in. I’m a sucker for products that look beautiful on my vanity. I figured that at the very least, Jet Lag could be a showpiece but I really, really wanted this product to work. For reference, my skin is super dry and hella sensitive. I initially tested the Jet Lag Mask for 30 minutes, then wiped it off with no adverse reaction. So far, so good. Over the weekend, I applied and left it on overnight. It soaked into my skin and didnt leave a greasy residue or leave marks on my satin pillowcase. In the morning, my skin felt SO soft and hydrated. No redness or irritation, just smooth, glowing skin. I may have done a little happy dance because I was so excited that it lived up to the hype. I’ve only used Jet Lag as a mask so far, but I love that it doubles as a primer and can be used under the eyes and will keep you posted on how it works for me in that respect. Skincare is so personal, as everyone’s needs are different, but Jet Lag is a winner for me. Have you tried this mask yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this product.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of sampling lately - trying to test a bunch of my minis, when I stumbled upon a gem from last month’s @sephora play box! My hair (in dire need of a cut) has been flat and lifeless lately, so I gave @briogeo’s Blossom & Bloom Volumizing Spray a shot yesterday. It gave my hair just the right amount of “oomph”! This spray doesn’t feel sticky like other volumizing products I’ve tried. My thick hair can easily get fluffy (not in a good way) but this baby delivers subtle volume and leaves my hair feeling bouncy and healthy. (Plus, it smells fantastic!) I’ve already added the full size bottle to my Sephora basket. 🖤🙌🏼

The theee foundations currently on rotation. The @marcbeauty Shameless foundation is perfect for everyday, medium coverage & SPF. The Beyond Perfecting Foundation by @clinique is new to me, but I wish I’d tried it sooner. My skin always looks flawless when I wear this and I love the doe-foot applicator (makes for super easy application). Last, but certainly not least, the @diormakeup Forever Foundation - if you haven’t tried it, you need to get on that! It’s one of the best base products I’ve ever used. I’ve been mixing it with the @hourglasscosmetics Vanish Stick Foundation - so gorgeous!

In my neverending search for the perfect eye cream, I’ve discovered Helix AM/PM Eye Gel by Volition. I’ve been using it for a couple of months and I’ve really been enjoying it. In particular, the texture is so beautiful and smoothing. It has a cushiony softness to it that feels so luxurious. I love using it during the day, under makeup. This gel is crazy hydrating, but feels super lightweight. I’m still on the hunt for my ideal evening eye cream, but for daytime, Helix checks all of the boxes.

My vanity is full of gorgeous new products that I’ve been playing around with.
▪️ @orlandopita Ampi-tint Color Depositing Hair Mask* in cool blonde is amazing at keeping those brassy tones at bay. I’m way overdue for a bleach + tone and this mask has been a lifesaver.
▪️ @glossier Lidstar shadows are absolutely stunning! I couldn’t even pick a favorite, as I love them all equally. My favorite thing about Lidstar - once you apply, they literally do NOT budge.
▪️ @nuevolution bronzer in portofino*. This bronzer is the perfect shade of warm and cool and blends like butter.
▪️ @fur_you Fur Oil* is a godsend for your entire body - head to toe. This little gem helps with the side effects of shaving and waxing. I’m not quite sure how I lived without it.

I’ve been testing the @marcbeauty Shameless 24H Foundation with SPF 25. Being a huge fan of the Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation, I was so excited to try this, but these two foundations couldn’t be any different. The Shameless foundation offers light to medium coverage (but definitely yields towards the light end of the spectrum). My skin is typically dry in the winter and normal to oily in the summer, so it took some trial and error to make this foundation work for me. I found that using a hydrating primer (like Marc Jacobs Coconut primer or @toofaced Hangover primer) was key and that powder wasn’t needed with this product. I set my face with @maccosmetics Fix +. The packaging is gorgeous, I love that it’s so travel-friendly. I’m thinking that I’ll get along better with this foundation once the weather gets warmer (and the SPF is a nice bonus). More on this foundation soon, provided we actually get some spring-like weather here in Boston.
