Bump season is coming to an end for me soon, so sharing a few of my recent looks 🥰 Ethen actually told me the other day he was proud of how few maternity clothes I purchased this time around, which was the biggest compliment 😂 I’d say 90% of what I wear is non-maternity, with the exception of layering tanks and pants. Some of my closet staples that have got me through pregnancy have been:
- LONG tops: I carry low, so I look for length in my closet above all else.
- Button downs unbuttoned make an easy layering piece and allow you to still wear something more “structured”
- Elastic waistbands! My style has always included a ton of pleated skirts that happen to have an elastic waistband. Hike that thing up over your belly and you have and easy maternity skirt (and the higher waist hides tops that are actually too short 😂)
- Tops that are either completely fitted to show off the bump or completely shapeless and I grow with you!

Somehow, some way, we are less than 12 weeks away 🤯 it feels like this pregnancy has flown by, but also that I’ve been pregnant for a year 😅 I get giddy thinking about high waisted jeans and mimosas and laying on my stomach again. What else do i need to add to my list? 😂
Clothes that fit are getting harder to come by each day (without wearing the same bike shorts and tshirt on repeat) but these skirts are still clutch. An Amazon special with good length and pockets. Forever grateful to past Shara for buying multiple colors ❤️❤️

When temps get below 100, get me a babysitter and a mocktail 💁🏻‍♀️👏🏻 My 2nd kid resolution (yes, it’s a thing now) is to get better about asking for sitters/time away together because man it’s so necessary.
Also- I don’t know how it’s taken me so long to grab a smocked dress, but this thing was MADE for pregnancy! It’s literally all stretch and so comfy.

Mentally I’m still here 😎what are your weekend plans?! June is another crazy months full of birthdays and parties and all the pool days. I seriously love this time of year, even if I’m not off in the summers anymore.

Best “hack” I’ve learned through 2 pregnancies- wear everything open (kimonos, cardigans, button downs) and make sure your tanks are long and fitted and suddenly you look way more out together than you actually feel 😂 these $10 tanks are gold and they hold up so well- you can’t even tell they’re maternity.

I debated on these flared leather pants for a HOT second before buying them, then took another 2 weeks to style them in a way I felt comfortable (hence the denim jacket 😉). Normally at this point, I would’ve given up and returned them, and used the money for something I likely already had in my closet. This year I’m really working to find a balance between trying new things and being more intentional about utilizing my closet before going to my “easy” pieces. I could happily wear a striped sweater and jeans every single day. But I love mixing it up and these were just enough outside my “typical” look to check the box 😅 now that I’ve made myself keep them, I freaking love them (even if my husband hates them 😂) how would you wear them?

Truth: this week has kicked my butt! I feel like my to-do list has skyrocketed and we’re still two weeks away from Thanksgiving 🫠 Have y’all started shopping? Everyone is doing “the best deal they’ve ever done” so I honestly stopped paying much attention 😂 Old Navy does have this tank marked down to 40% off which should make it under $20! Feeling fall, but make it Texas 🍂😎 We’ve still got a few weeks ahead of very warm and toasty days, so I’m trying to pair my fall pieces with my leftover summer ones. I LOVE a good leather skirt with a tank now and a sweater for later. This one has great length so it can be worn basically anywhere (I always thought leather skirts were reserved for bars and GNO, but I wear mine all fall - seriously). I am a jeans girl through and through. Dresses and skirts are fun for a short period, but I like not worrying about a breeze blowing my skirt up or having to sit “like a lady” 💁🏻‍♀️if I have to dress up my jeans, I always run for a comfy pair of heels. I like how quickly it can change the mood of a casual outfit, without compromising my comfort (I don’t buy uncomfortable shoes, we don’t do that here.)

Casual workwear for this week 😎 I am forever grateful for a casual dress code and work from home options. Im just not a pantsuit type of gal 😅 What’s your dress code like? Long weekends feel different 🥰 We never make big plans for Labor Day, but I love just having an extra day to hang around with family and friends. Last night we settled down after a busy week with a charcuterie board to-go and a big open space for Ollie to run. If there’s one thing I could say to anyone struggling with stress, anxiety, or just life in general 🤪 it’s GET OUTSIDE! Sunshine is so good for you mentally and physically, and I notice a huge difference in my mood and stress tolerance on the days I’m able to spend time outside. On the weekends we try to go to the park at least once, if not both days (some of that is to run out toddler energy though 😉)

Friday feeling 😎 When I was in college, my friends and I thing called “Fancy Friday” where we’d dress up like we were going somewhere fancy, but really we were all broke college students and just hung out at each other’s apartments dressed up😂 That’s the kind of energy I’m looking for right now: dressing up with nowhere to go 💁🏻‍♀️
I wore this for Easter last weekend, but I’ve got a graphic tee and sneakers that are screaming to be paired with this little satin midi skirt. It’s crazy good quality for the price! And these heels- they’re teach worthy. I’ve worn these a handful of times to school and they were FINE 🙌🏽 I’ve been trying to be extra conscious of my spending before the move, but if these heels go on sale, I can’t say my cards will be safe 🤷🏻‍♀️
