Journey to Becoming My Body Goals Inside and Out I’m so done starting over with my body. For the last five years, I have been losing the same ten pounds and gaining it back. Motivation, discipline, burnout, then starting again. I am ready for that cycle to stop. Heart conditions run in my family. I lost my mom to a heart attack last March. Recently, my doctor told me my cholesterol levels were elevated. Knowing that heart disease is the leading cause of death for Black women changed how I see my health and my body.
