Spring Bed Sneak Peek with Garland and Twinkle Lights 🤍

Laundry is never going to be anyone's favorite chore — but an organized laundry room makes it so much less of a burden. It's one of the most high-impact spaces to reset at the start of spring, and it doesn't have to take long.

Here's how I approached this refresh:

→ Decluttered first — removed anything that didn't belong

→ Sorted out items ready to be laundered

→ Cleared and reset the counter with a tray to keep supplies contained

→ Added 4 baskets from The Home Depot for overflow cleaning and laundry supplies

→ Brought in a pretty rolling laundry hamper

→ Cleaned the washer and dryer fronts, cleaned the counters and finished with my Ryobi stick-vac (the attachment I used in the dryer vent is so satisfying)

Fun fact: the average American racks up more than 60 hours a year doing laundry — Might as well make the space work harder for you. 🤍

Deep kitchen island drawers are amazing, but can be a challenge to find organizing solutions.

This family of 5 has young children. These two drawers are on the opposite side of the kitchen island, facing the kitchen table where the kids do arts + crafts … but they’re also within range of the living room where sometimes we need quick access to diapers and wipes.

These drawers contain a variety of items which is completely normal! Using my favorite super affordable multi-purpose bins, I turned these deep drawers into grab-n-go central: diapers and wipes, coloring books, first aid (including a choking remedy device) and all the everyday essentials that end up in a junk drawer.

These multi-purpose bins are on repeat in our business. We’ve used them in garages, offices, playrooms, and even deep freezer drawers – they never disappoint. Standing upright, they make the most of a deep drawer instead of letting everything become a jumbled mess.

Every family kitchen has a junk drawer AND a drawer for kids homework, crafting or random items. The challenge in this kitchen is that every drawer is deep.

To transform and organize these desks that belong to three little girls, I removed a shelf from two of the desks and better space planned the remaining shelves to accommodate storage solutions. The rolling caddies were organized to contain all of the art + craft supplies. And we used simple storage boxes giving each girl their own color to conceal items that Mom did not want lingering on the shelves. We love the way this turned out!
