When the weather can’t decide what it’s doing, a light jacket solves everything.

A tee and denim might feel too cold in the morning…
but a full coat feels like overkill by lunchtime.

This is where a light jacket becomes your best friend.

Easy to throw on.
Easy to take off.
And it instantly makes a simple outfit feel more put together.

The key to a versatile wardrobe isn’t more pieces - it’s better ones.

As we head into the cooler months whenever I’m investing in outerwear, I look for:

A colour that works across my entire wardrobe (or most of it)
Soft structure to elevate even the simplest outfit
A relaxed fit for effortless layering
A length that complements both pants and shorter hemlines (so yay for this season's adjustable hems)

Obsessed with the simplicity of this look, I’ve worn this coat so much the last year well actually all of these pieces except the knit, it’s new and such a brilliant layering piece. My weekly trips to Uniqlo have been doing some damage.

I picked up an XL in the knit so the sleeves are long and look great tied around the waist but also because it’s such beautiful fine merino I can tuck it when I’m wearing it over a tee!
