Sephora put a bunch of great stuff on sale so I thought I'd talk about some of my top picks! This is my favorite dry shampoo spray. I've tried countless dry shampoos and like a bunch of different ones but this is by far the best in my opinion. It actually cleans your hair and doesn't make it feel weird. It eliminates oil, sweat, and odor so if you workout and don't want to wash your hair every time, this is the one you need (the cheaper ones definitely won't do that).⁠
The full size version on its own is $24 but right now there's a full size + travel size duo on sale for $21.50 (a $38 value!).⁠

I discovered this candle line at @capershome last month and couldn't love it more. Since I'm a sucker for anything travel inspired, I fell in love with their Escapist collection which is inspired by different places around the world. This Santorini one, for example, is made to smell like Santorini and described as “reminiscent of the earthy fruity aromas of Santorini’s abundant fig trees and lush native currants". The scents are fantastic, made with fine perfume oils and essential oils, and the candles are hand poured in Brooklyn, New York. They're made of 100% soy wax (apparently that's good?) and have a burn time of up to 70 hours.⁠
The Santorini candle is amazing, as is Maui, Tuileries, and Santa Fe! They truly smell SO good - in a mature, luxurious way, not like cheap crappy candles do (I hate those). They're a great gift idea for anyone, especially for those you travel with. There are some non-travel candles which I did not smell but I'm willing to bet they're great also.⁠

I posted this in my story the other day and got dozens of questions, so let's discuss! This is a nighttime antioxidant serum. In the morning I use C E Ferulic as my antioxidant serum, and at night I use this. ⁠

As I was packing to head to Seattle for Christmas I thought of a few small things I never travel without, including this wet brush. It's a detangling brush that minimizes breakage and pain. I originally bought it back in 2015 because I was going to @theyachtweek and it seemed like something you'd need when living on a sailboat for a week. Turns out it's actually something you need everyday of your life, not just on a boat!⁠
They say on their site that how you brush your hair is the key to strong and healthy hair and I agree it definitely plays an important role. Unlike most brushes, this brush gently loosens tangles without pulling or breaking hair. They say you'll have 45% less breakage with it which is pretty amazing! It's the only brush I've found that I can use on my wet hair that does not painfully rip out a ton of hairs. It's made for wet hair (hence the name) but I use it on dry hair, too.⁠
It's pretty inexpensive and holds up really well. I've had mine for 4 years and it's still going strong.⁠

The other Nudestix item that I liked from my order were these eyeshadow pencils. If you aren't an expert shadow applier or makeup artist, these are really helpful. All you do is glide it over your eye quickly, blend it out a bit if you feel the need, and then you're done. It honestly takes ten seconds and looks really good. I prefer the set of three because that way you can use more than one shade to add dimension. They're long-wearing, waterproof, budge proof, and idiot proof (in my humble opinion).⁠
For one individual pencil you'd pay $26 but this three pack is only $25 for all three shades slightly smaller than full size (.088 oz each vs .1), a sharpener, and a mirror attached to the tin they come in. A great buy!⁠

If your skin is feeling dry from this lovely winter weather (even SF is freezing right now), this lotion is AMAZING. This one specifically is for normal to dry skin but there's an even more intense version for very dry skin that I love, too. I feel a bit like a broken record here but I have very dry skin, made even worse from frequent traveling, plus eczema on occasion, and @larocheposayusa's entire Lipikar line is a lifesaver for me. According to their site it's the number one body care line in European pharmacies and I can definitely see why.⁠
Both lotions contain prebiotic thermal water, shea butter, glycerin, and niacinamide. This one is lightweight and fast absorbing, while the intensive repair version for very dry skin is much richer. They both work to provide all day hydration (48 hour hydration for the intensive version) and help to deeply replenish your skin. I use it primarily as a body lotion but they say you can use it as a face lotion too.⁠

I LOVE this face mask. I originally got just a sample of it per @rachaelthorpe's recommendation to use post-microneedle treatment. It's exfoliating and eats away at your dead skin cells without harming you. Perfect for when you're peeling since you definitely do not want to pick at your peeling skin.⁠
But it's not just for use post-treatment. I now own the full size version and die for it. I used it Friday night and my skin has NEVER felt softer... It's basically all I have been thinking about since. Made from papaya enzymes, this mask is incredibly resurfacing and reveals healthier, smoother, more polished skin in just 20 minutes or less. It's also said to help with acne, hyperpigmentation, and scar reduction but I cannot speak to those. It's hydrating too! Very highly recommend.⁠

Continuing on the glowy skin trend - I love this Lancome radiant smoothing powder. It definitely has a luminous finish, with soft-focus micro sparkles, so I usually use it just in places I'd like a subtle highlight instead of all over the face.⁠⠀
The "micro sparkle" thing sounds a bit misleading though... It's not glittery looking at all, it's just a really pretty natural glowy highlight. It claims to reduce tightening and drying which is probably why I like it since my dry skin hates all powders generally. It doesn't cake, leave a powdery look, or settle into fine lines. Instead it smooths your skin to minimize imperfections and provide radiance.⁠⠀
It's one of my favorite makeup products by far, similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in that I don't really know how to verbalize why it's so great. You just gotta try it.⁠⠀
One thing to note: it's not the cheapest buy but the container is HUGE and will last a very long time. I've had mine over a year, use it daily, and the container is still very full.⁠⠀

Let's talk about EXFOLIATING! Almost nothing feels better to me than scrubbing the hell out of my skin. You gotta be careful what you use though, especially on your face, since you can do a lot of damage with the wrong product (hello, St. Ives apricot scrub). ⁠⠀
SkinCeuticals' micro-exfoliating scrub is, not shockingly, one of my favorites. To be honest, unlike most skincare products, I don't really buy and try a lot of different exfoliants. I have two physical exfoliants that I love, one of which is this, so I more or less just stick with those.⁠⠀
Why do I love this? It's gentle enough for everyday use. I have dry skin so I probably exfoliate more than the average person. And while I don't do it everyday, I like that I *could* if I wanted to with this one. It is hydrating (something I don't find in most physical exfoliants), smoothing (safely - this is key), and texture improving. Despite being fairly mild, it does a pretty good job scrubbing dead skin away.⁠⠀
If your skin is feeling extra dry from this lovely winter weather, I especially recommend giving it a try. Tis the season! It even has an approachable price point ($31).⁠⠀

This antioxidant glow water from Fresh is mine right now! I like it because the mist is super fine and it's very cooling which I especially love while traveling or after a treatment. It can be used as a primer, a setting spray, or just a hydrating refresh. Most (all?) setting sprays are a makeup product but this is more skin focused than that so of course I prefer it to the others.⁠⠀
It contains vitamin C, E, and B5, lemon and orange extracts, and minerals to make your skin more vibrant, refreshed, hydrated, and more. Honestly the ultra-fine mist is reason enough to buy it - it's truly a treat.⁠⠀

Got a fun little makeup hack for you if you have super dry skin or just want to be extra dewy. This nourishing primer oil is a mixture of 15 different plant extracts and essential oils, including many of my favorites! It adds moisture and radiance while also prepping your skin for makeup. As a primer, you massage a few drops of it into your skin prior to makeup application. Make sure to let it absorb first.⁠⠀
If you're like me and you find your skin to be very dry by end of day when you wear makeup, try this instead: apply it *over* your makeup. That is the hack. I know it probably seems like that would be disastrous and makeup ruining, but it's actually AMAZING.⁠⠀
Here's exactly how I do it: I fully apply my makeup. Once I am done with every single step, I drop some of this on the back of my hand. Then I take a wet beauty blender and dab it in the oil. I do this repeatedly until the oil is fully absorbed into the beauty blender. Don't use too much and make sure to pounce the beauty blender a bunch so that the oil isn't sitting in a big wet chunk on the surface. Then you take the beauty blender and press it onto your face. If you want glowy cheekbones, apply it there. If you want to be dewy all over and keep your entire face moisturized ALL DAY, pounce it all over.⁠⠀

Last Sephora sale I went a little crazy buying ten @nudestix products after seeing someone's IGTV doing their entire face solely with them. It all seemed very convenient, especially for travel, but I ended up not liking most of it. This, on the other hand, I LOVE.⁠⠀
It is a cream highlighter stick that makes you look incredibly dewy. I cannot stand a chalky, dry highlight - especially when you can see the powder just sitting on someone's cheek bone - and this is the exact opposite. It's super creamy, almost wet looking.⁠⠀
I have it in the color "hey, honey" but all three color options look gorgeous. The stick is dual ended, with the color on one side and a blending brush on the other. Very convenient! I love it so much it now lives in my purse.⁠⠀

I own and use three different foundations, one of which is this medium coverage Too Faced foundation. I like it because although it covers a lot, you can't feel it or see it on your skin. Your skin still looks like skin! That's why they named it Born This Way... how clever.

Kind of funny because I think I only use four of their products and those exact four are the ones included, but maybe that's because I have great taste? Prob. There's also a foundation brush included but I haven't tried it.⁠
Bought separately it costs $153, in the set it's currently $76. A steal of a deal if you're in the market for a makeup refresh! Also a great gift idea.⁠⠀

Dry shampoo comes in a few different forms — spray, foam, and powder. When I first tried a dry shampoo foam I thought it was fine but did not *love* it. I probably wouldn't have repurchased but then @janelleg3 explained to me why she likes it and it completely changed my mind. You know when you sleep on your hair in a strange position and wake up with a kink or a cowlick or some kind of odd situation? When this happens to me I find myself pretty much out of luck… No matter how long I attempt to use a straightener to fix it, it doesn’t totally resolve.
But a dry shampoo foam will fix it! Because, despite the name, a dry shampoo foam is not actually dry. It is wet so applying it to your hair will in turn make your hair wet which will allow you to reset your part or whatever is off. Then all you have to do is continue to massage it into your hair until it dries and you are good to go. Refreshed hair, hydrated scalp, and cleansed hair. Mind blown? Same.

I have no idea how to do proper eye makeup, but every time I put in this foiled pigment I get a million questions about it. This leads me to believe it’s fairly idiot proof, so if you’re in the same situation (and even if you’re not), give it a try. The color I have is cream peach. It’s great for the holidays!
