A natural mosquito repellent that actually looks good on your patio. This DIY repellent bowl is one of my favourite summer rituals, it’s simple, it’s beautiful, and it actually works. What you’ll need: 2 lemons, sliced 2 limes, sliced Fresh rosemary sprigs 10–15 drops lemongrass essential oil Water to fill your bowl 3–5 floating candles One large glass or ceramic bowl Optional: eucalyptus or citronella oil, fresh mint leaves A little trick worth knowing, limes are too dense to float on their own. Layer them on top of the lemon slices and they’ll stay up beautifully. As the candles warm the oils, the scent slowly fills the air and quietly does its job. No chemicals, no citronella torches. Just something that looks like it belongs on a styled patio, because it does. Save this one for your next outdoor gathering.
