Tips for Purchasing a Lamp 💡 • Consider buying a lamp that aligns with the polish you plan to use the most (hence why I purchased an OPI specific lamp). • Look at the specs for each polish & make sure your lamp meets the requirements 🫶🏼 • I went to my local nail salon before buying a lamp to see what all the pros were using (lots of CND & OPI lamps). • The LED lamp bulb must be powerful enough to emit UV light at the correct frequency. Ensure your lamp has the correct wavelength to cure your polish. • “Wattage” is not important to curing, except for marketing purposes. NEVER purchase a nail lamp because of its wattage. • Most gel polishes require UV light with a wavelength of 350 nanometers (nm) to cure. However, some LED gels may require a wavelength of 375 nm. Most UV lamps emit a wavelength that ranges from 320 to 400 nm. • LED lamps produce a very narrow spectrum of light, so it's best to confirm that the lamp's wavelength matches the gel product's requirement.
