Posts going viral on social media are certainly a double edged sword. As a creator your content being seen is such a reward. Other times it’s just being carried through the mud for days or weeks on end. I won’t lie it’s not easy. I am human. I struggle. I want to quit and leave this behind at times because I don’t know who wants to show up just existing as they are and be subjected to such negativity coming at you faster than you can even read it. And sure I can turn off comments, I can not read them ( I don’t read them all, but sometimes it’s hard to avoid) and delete them. And why should I have to avoid MY page? Avoid comments on MY content that I create for joy and to inspire?! Why can’t adults be held accountable for their online actions? Kids are, so why aren’t adults??! It’s wild when you think about it. I won’t normalize this behavior. It’s not okay. But my passion for this space online is deeper. It’s meaningful and if I give up, these people win. And I always just wanted to know there were other girls & women who looked like me and were perfect just the way they are. I know it’s hard lately in an era of everyone shrinking. But please, keep showing up as you are right now! No matter what that looks like!! Existing as we are in happiness and joy is allowed! No matter what our bodies look like! Future generations of women depend on it. I know they do. 🩷 bodyneutrality midsizefashion allbodiesaregoodbodies
